    Interesting isn't it.

All you are doing is questioning the ethics of a rich celebrity when it comes to them getting a big payday for doing something that most people, myself included, find to be morally wrong.

Yet I don't see anyone chiming in to tell you that you're just jealous, that you have wealth envy, that you're stamping your feet and that you shouldn't criticise his attempts to work hard and grow the economy.

    Interesting

Presumably if was a more right leaning, non labour supporting commenter, your view of him would be the same?

My point is why are we talking about Liam?

Perhaps we should include how we think Darren wassell would have set us up,he was also a previous temporary manager.

    It's irrelevant.

Which one are you sad about curtains?

Wassell who took us to the play off semi finals and enjoyed one of the best win rates of any recent manager or Liam who failed to win away for something like 30 or so games?

Because,I'd much rather talk about wassell if it comes to discussing irrelevant previous temporary managers,it would be much more cheerful.

Has it deserted us at times .

Or was it all down to the Cashin sending off yesterday

They were playing in a mud bath and the ball was alternately moving a 1mph through said mud or at 25 mph as it suddenly took off over a layer of water......this clearly made passing accurately or at the correct momentum to be successful, extremely difficult to judge....I'd imagine it's especially difficult for players who are used to better playing surfaces.

Also, what has any of this got to do with our previous, temporary manager?.....other than playing around at the back would have yielded even worse results with the dreadful conditions.

And yet a club in the league above us have given LR a job and he’s got a point away at Millwall in his first game while we have drawn with a non league team rock bottom of their league. Yeah Rosenior is s*** compared to Warne…

    Correct!

And warne was managing a club above Millwall in the championship to drop down a league to try and sort this s*** show of a side out!

Which is going to take some time.

I didn't love getting rid of Rosenior as I'd have given him until christmas. If we'd replaced him with a manager who had demonstrated a record of success at league 1 playing a brand of football that wasn't an anathema to our squad I'd have been more on board. Turning us into Rothwarne FC is a move I was and remain skeptical about.

Warne hasnt got a record of success in league 1????

And this squad were even more s*** under Rosenior,a man who no record of success at all....and,let's not forget, were getting steadily worse prior to him being replaced.

Some of our fans on twitter having a go at Warne are absolutely ridiculous.

No team would get relegated from the Championship, come back for pre season with 5 players and get anywhere near to promotion from League One. The fact we're 7th is a miracle in itself.

We don't have a right back, we have 2 wingers (Ones injured) the squad at full strength is unbelievably short. Take 5 regulars out and we're threadbare.

The game management today after going down to 10 men was so poor. But these players make such poor decisions at times, going directly against what they've been told to do.

All Warne can do is work with what we've got, which isn't a lot. Get through this month, get some of the injured players back and get to January.

We need at the very least a right back, a midfield enforcer and a winger. But I think we'll get more than that.

Clowes said himself that there will be a period of consolidation.

Yeah but he's not Liam which seems to be some posters biggest issue.

Stronger team than I expected/wanted to see.

That said we don’t have many options right now anyways in the first team or U21’s.

This season the cups are an irrelevance for us given the restrictions we are under. We just don’t have a squad size capable of maintaining a cup run alongside a league campaign.

Well let's just enjoy it whilst we can then ?

  8. Unfortunately, the bbc bosses gave up on serving local communities a long time ago amd are quite happy to sacrifice it and the world service which is vital to communities overseas in order to pursue other agendas....they have the money to support these services but they would rather use it elsewhere on more lucrative projects.

They lost their sense of purpose a long time ago sadly.

Massive shame as i genuinely enjoy sportscene,i like hearing from barry from burton and agnes from cotmanhay..it brings a sense of community and i still feel part of derby despite having moved away years ago.

I hope something can be done, afterall we stopped them closing down my beloved 6 music years ago after a massive uproar, perhaps it can be done again.

Honestly, it’s not really changed my opinion.  The improved performance was down to 2 things, the change in formation meaning we had a lot more players playing in positions they are comfortable in, and Bristol being utterly dreadful. I would give credit to Warne if I thought he had made a conscious decision to change the formation to suit the players, rather than injuries forcing it, but he actively went out of his way post-match to make it clear he pretty much picks formations at random to squeeze in the players he wants, so no credit there.  And I have no faith in him sticking with the formation when everyone is fit again. Plus it’s hard to judge how much of the result was down to us playing well and them playing badly, especially when 3 of the goals were absolute defensive howlers from them.

I still think he’s a very limited manager, that has one trick to win games, and if it doesn’t work he’s clueless. And I don’t like the way he wants his football played.  But I said elsewhere in this thread that if he’d come in and taken Rosenior’s system and just put his own twist on it, then he’d have gotten a lot more slack from fans.  And I think that’s basically what we saw today. That 4231/422 system we played was close to how we were lining up for most of Rosenior’s games, but we just moved the ball forward a lot more aggressively.  He made a rod for his own back by trying to tear everything up and just re-run his Rotherham system with a completely different bunch of players.

One trick pony with three league 1 promotions under his belt, all with a budget of a tenner.

    That's some pony......

Surprising, really, that people would be talking about Liam Rosenior in a thread with the title ‘Liam Rosenior’

I mean,he's obviously fabulous having been the temporary, interim manager of the club for a few months but not even Brian Clough had two threads titled with this name at the same time...

Excellent win.  Players in attacking areas played in the right position.

This is ALMOST exactly what we wanted from Warne.

McGoldrick was as magnificent today as he was poor in the last game coming on as a sub.

Going 4-1 up when we did should never present the opposition a chance to get back into it, thereo shouldn't be any thought in the fanbase that we could throw it away.

We tightened it up after the break but probably should have done that earlier, avoid the situation where the penalty I'd awarded.

That said aren't these the team who got promoted on the last day of the season scoring 7 goals?

3/5 at the back today and I don't think we see that performance or anywhere close.

And almost exactly what Warne no doubt wanted from the team.

Excellent first half in particular I thought.

Looking forwards to a quiet night on the forum tonight.
