I'm hardly traditionalist or conservative, but a footballing romantic? Oh yes, very much so.
Romantic in me would like ball to look like this:

and it should be kicked with black boots looking like these

Black 'n' white. Works a treat.

Did you enquire after the health and jab status of the person serving you? They might have no protection other than that visor.
What is ridiculous is the increasing need of people to voice their opinions based only on their own personal circumstances. It’s almost like everyone has been living in a bubble for over a year.

A little less reassuring that Mel might not prevent someone with no money taking us over.
Simon Jordan - taken from the article - quotes:
“The reason I was on board with Erik Alonso was because I asked Mel Morris, and Mel Morris was on board with Erik Alonso. Then the EFL come along with its weights and measures and say ‘hold on a sec, that might satisfy you but it seems the origin of the funds isn't quite where we want them to be’.

Might be in the very small minority, but l have very little interest in players when they move on, and certainly the notion that ‘once a Ram, always a Ram’ has little traction with me.
In the last 10 years there are only a few players that I retain any interest in. Probably only Hughes and Bryson.

I don't think it's fair to call the writing atrocious; it flows well, interweaves stories that mix it up and generally has punchy dialogue that works. I think there's a difference between 'bad writing' (George R R Martin for instance can't write dialogue to save his life) and 'heft' to your storyline which then friends isn't your kind of thing.

But if you're wanting real 'heft' then why would you want to watch a sitcom? The format isn't really designed for it and it's not the point of the shows either- they're supposed to be easy, funny, occasionally soppy and ridiculous. I've always found a lot of the point with sitcoms is that you can just sit there, chill out and have a laugh with some mates. If I want depth, I'll get reading some Hilary Mantel, Dickens, Dostoyevsky or Hanya Yanagihara.

1664 was a very poor year I agree. Weak hop and barley harvest, following a very bleak winter. Now if he was drinking 1666 or 1667 then I would respect his fine taste in what were vintage years.

It's unfortunate with Morgan Whittaker. He left for a better opportunity and who can blame him for that because it just wasn't working out here for various reasons. He certainly received a load of unnecessary grief from the cesspit of social media but most folk on here and other forums totally understood his reasons for leaving and wished him well.
However, a specific goal celebration for scoring against a team is always going to be interpreted as a dig at all fans of that club though, whether they were supportive of your decision to leave or not. No issue with him celebrating at all, I don't expect him to walk solemnly back the the centre spot shrugging off his team mates but I just felt that the 'chuff you' gesture was a bit unnecessary and he could have shown a bit more of the class that I'd expected of him due to his good off field stuff at Derby. I still broadly wish him the best but leave out the mardy stuff eh ?

He is a footballer, he is paid to score goals, he should be able to celebrate when he does (and is sticking his fingers in his ears really that much of a celebration?), regardless of the opposition, no one "deserves a bag full of abuse". I mean seriously, we weren't even involved in the match yesterday so what difference does it make to us? And Morgan was an unused substitute?
It is just pathetic and people need to grow up.

Keogh for his role in the Joiners incident.
As captain, you’re the leader on and off the pitch.
To then refuse a pay cut whilst injured due to his own stupidity, takes the club to tribunal. Sorry but for me that’s unforgivable. He was the club captain.
As for Morgan Whittaker, think it’s a classic case of fans can give it, but not take it.
He wasn’t shown the love the likes of Sibley and Knight have, maybe he won’t ever be good enough but as a local lad, that must have hurt him.
To then score against us, a game which looked to be a further nail in our coffin as he was off to the play offs, I don’t blame him for his celebration.
It’s laughable that he and his girlfriend have now closed their Twitter accounts over tweets from Derby fans following the final whistle.
He’s still a kid, trying to break through into the game. Actually did a lot of work with food banks whilst here, helping families in need and we’ve turned on one of our own, all because we thought he wasn’t good enough.
It’s sad to see tbh, scores against us again I expect even more of a celebration, not sure our fans could handle that.

    I've read through the documents.
I fail to see how Mel was exonerated in any way whatsoever from reading them, and fail to see how someone of a reasonable intellect and understanding could reach such a conclusion.
There is nothing here to see we didn't know already.

Exponential increase of the 'Indian' variant, yes, certainly.
Too soon to tell for definite signs of any repercussions of that, because it tends to take 2-3 weeks for the (seemingly) inevitable to follow. The problem as I see it won't be the 'deaths' figure, but hospitalisations which would have knock-on effects elsewhere within the health service.
Of course, if it culls a proportion of the the "Won't vaccinate" brigade, then the outcome of that would be a smaller but more intelligent population.
