Roos isn’t as bad as people make him out to be. Like all keepers he’s makes the odd blunder, sadly his always seem to happen in high profile games.
Not a huge fan of stats but they often show him as one of the better keepers in the league.
For a player who cost us next to nothing he’s done well for us.

Thing is, I know loads of regular home and away match-goers and they all rate Roos. I don't know anyone who isn't a fan (unlike say Martin, whereas opinion was divided.)
I do wonder about the IQ of some of our more vocal supporters. There was one just behind me in the West Stand last night and he was making such a nuisance of himself he hardly watched the game. But I bet he's got very strong opinions on everyone who played.
When CKR's shot hit Jozwiak's back he yelled "You Polish c***" at the top of his voice in a stand full of families. There's no way Joz wouldn't have heard that. As I say, embarrassing.

I know, You have constantly posted this stuff in support of Roos, but people have ignored it because it doesn't fit their agenda.
Some of us appreciate it though.

Constantly working to improve his game, a great professional.
People talking on other threads about being embarrassed by Derby County, I'm embarrassed when our manager has to bring a player off early to get him a bit of applause and confidence because of the way our fans have treated him in the past. As the stats have always backed up he is nowhere near as poor a goalkeeper as some fans state. These are opinions based on odd incidents, not an overall view of performances throughout a match.
For me, in the system we are now playing, his handling and quick, accurate distribution are key. He gets the game moving again far quicker than our other keeper.

Deserves way more credit than he gets. Look at the comments on the starting line-up.
"I don’t think I’d be able to stand a season with Roos as number 1"
"Cant do another season with Stevie ******* wonder in goal ffs"
"Oh no! Why is roos No1 is he ******* blind"
    "Roos why? He’s dog ****"
Great shotstopper and good passer. His commanding and catching crosses could do with some work (although Roos had 3rd most aerial duels won p90 last season, Marshall was incredibly low), but can anyone name a championship keeper with all 4 traits at a high quality? No, you can't, because there's none. It's not like Marshall is incredibly commanding and catches every cross either, fans are just programmed to hate Roos after 1 massive mistake. Fans are always like there's a mistake coming. He hasn't made a mistake that's directly led to goal since Wembley.

"I was planning on playing him (Roos) for 90 minutes, but I felt the fans were right behind him and so I felt it was important to bring him off and let him get that reception. I know in the past it has been difficult for him sometimes with the fans. Hopefully that can put that to bed."

No, you have to find your block then select your usual seat. Really easy, just make sure you know your block, row & seat details ready for tomorrow.
As per their announcement yesterday they cannot reserve your seat for the game but season ticket holders get first refusal, so unless another season ticket holder decides to change their seat and pick yours, you should be fine.

We need to get Jagielka snapped up quickly. He’s absolutely still got it, he was superb tonight. I can imagine there are a few clubs who sat up and took notice of him last night after that performance. Paul Cook will be working overtime today trying to convince him to sign for Ipswich

I think the pricing is fine tbh, 24 quid for the opening game as an adult is about what I'd be expecting to pay so I have 0 complains there. I don't like the simplified categories though. Some seats in the same areas of the stadium are better or worse depending upon height, placement etc. that I think should be reflected in the price. But, I'm just happy that on monday I can get me and my mum a ticket for the first game in a long time that we've been able to see.

I like Jack Stretton. He’s a hard working striker, with good control, can run with the ball, and has an eye for goal. In his first-year as a professional last season, after graduating from the Academy, he was prolific at the start of the U23 season. Like all players at that age, he has areas he needs to work on, but after stepping up from the U18s, in a short space of time he overtook Cameron Cresswell, Bobby Duncan and Jahmal Hector-Ingram which is credit to him.
He had a good, short loan spell at Stockport County where he scored three goals in five appearances.
Of course, none of that guarantees anything, I remember Callum Ball being prolific for Derby County reserves but being unable to establish himself in the first-team under Nigel Clough.
It’s a shame Stretton hit the woodwork in one of his early substitute appearances for the first-team. Had he scored instead, the goal would have done wonders for his confidence.
Footbal365 have listed Stretton in their 10 young Championship players to watch out for this season:
A calf injury, following his return from Stockport County, prevented him playing in the run-in last season and a muscle strain has kept him out of the pre-season friendlies but, I believe, he returned to training this week.
Stretton looks a natural goal scorer at U23 level but it’s a big step-up to Championship level against streetwise defenders and he has work to do to prove he can score goals on a regular basis at this level.

I think you may need to take the level of opposition into account. If we throw people forward they will just counter and score at a canter.

And there lies the problem, fans demanding an improved team whilst refusing to pay for tickets and streams for the players we have, maybe if we didn't have P&S restrictions you could demand these things I guess, but the balance sheet isn't looking that healthy, especially with Pride Park being empty for 18 months.
What came first, the chicken or the egg?
If we was playing Forest, wouldn't be an issue I would imagine, but the game should still be seen as a big one, the first competitive game with fans back in the stadium. Work starts on persuading my chauffeur tonight ?

Well the real simple solution to that is...dont go.
You point out that we have got a poor side, do you think charging less than market value for match tickets is going to help us address this problem?

I think its Level B more to do with it being first home game of the season rather than who the opposition is.
The levels are usually chosen by occasion as well as team, month, day.

The parachute payments should be paid directly by authorities to existing player’s wage. Once that player is sold, it’s then up to the relegated team to replace with players that fit into the wage budget based on current division.
