Explosion 2 incoming , personally think he’s a bit of a knob but to be fair my impression was that Twitter was run by knobs before him , question seems more do you prefer your knob hanging to the left or hanging to the right 🤷🏻‍♂️, standing straight up the middle is a bit to much to ask for

Yes, but they were censoring the people Stive didn't like, so they were the goodies. I think it's terrible that twitter/x haven't given Stive a pocket mod to delete anything he doesn't approve of. Perhaps he's been spoiled in that regard by certain other websites?

Guessing 2004-2005 vs Brighton I think, because of Idiakez and Taylor in the starting 11.

Really loved that era of Rasiak and Idiakez.

must say I think Marco Reich was massively under rated IMHO

I agree. That team was great fun to watch. Idiakez is the only player I can think of where you'd be more confident of him scoring a 30 yard free kick than a penalty. I though Reich was really good too. He was massive in us surviving relegation in 03/04.

    Very sad never met him

.I remember the "mentile shutters " at Craven cottage

There's so many B4isms stuck in my brain that I always think of them whenever the player or word in question comes up.

Our forum and fan base in general will suffer from his absence. RIP.

  4. Disappointing that there isn't more about his time playing at Derby, but understandable since he has done so much. A big eye opener was him saying that our wage bill was higher than Villa's when he joined. I would've also liked to hear about his time in the ISL.

  5. Looking at the comments Bristol City fans were still backing him. How does Pearson do it? This is the same fan base that wanted Lee Johnson and Dean Holden's heads on pikes. Pearson also managed to convince many Leicester fans that he won the Premier League. Maybe Paul Warne should give him a call to get some tips on gaslighting people into thinking you're doing a way better job than you actually are.

  6. Really awful. I remember seeing the footage of Clint Malarchuk getting the same injury in an NHL game. You literally see blood spurting into the air with each beat of his heart. Luckily for Malarchuk, his team's physio was a former combat medic and he survived, but suffered from PTSD.

Neck guards will be made mandatory now and, they probably already should've been. These injuries are rare in hockey, but not unheard of. It's not deliberate. No hockey player would do that. However, it's clumsy and irresponsible. You have a responsibility not to put yourself in a situation where a missed hip check will result in your skates flying up at head height.

You guys went to the trouble of necroing this thread 3 months after Magicman's last post. It's clearly working regardless of how hard they're trying.

Not sure why there is all this love for Cocu. Nice bloke certainly, but we were woeful that year, should have been relegated, and the squad was far better and built under far fewer restrictions than the following year. Other than 2007/08 it was the worst I have seen Derby in 40 years of following them.

We were woeful that year and should've been relegated. Phillip Cocu was in charge for just 11 games. There's no denial that it was a terrible start and I can't really defend Cocu on that front, but if it's the worst season you've seen in 40 years, it's 75% Rooney's fault.

  9. It will be very interesting to see how he gets on. It's difficult to appraise his managerial career so far due to the unique situations at both clubs. His win percentage stats are utter garbage, but the expectations at Derby and DC didn't really extend beyond "try not to finish bottom". Birmingham have sacked a guy who had them 6th and implied that Rooney will bring a more exciting and attacking brand of football. Even the Rooney fanboys won't be able to pass off a lower mid table finish as succeeding against impossible odds, although I'm certain they'll try.

  10. 2014 wasn't it? One of my favourite ever games. The 5-0 is special, but it wasn't just that. This game was the culmination of a 5 year stint of the rivalry being particularly heated, fuelled primarily by Billy Davies. He still hasn't managed a single game of football since this match, nearly 10 years ago. That's how comprehensively we beat them, we ended Davies' career.

it’s absolutely draining all the constant ‘get him gone’ ‘whose next’ ‘he’s just a P.E teacher’ I’ve missed 1 away game and 1 home and it’s honestly making me not want to go, Blackpool people singing ‘warne your football is sh*t’ then 5 minutes later singing his name, honestly think if people stop over reacting and seemingly wanting Warne to fail we could get out of this league this year. Rant over roll on the draining stick that’ll come…

For the most part I agree, but you won't see anything change. Once people have made their minds up about something they are unlikely to change, so you'll see plenty more threads where a 2-1 away win is treated as a failure because it wasn't won in the correct manner with the correct players on the pitch.

I disagree with the idea that any of this nonsense should affect the players. They're paid to be professional and if they're negatively affected by some chants or things written on internet forums then they have no business in professional football.
