Perhaps mistakes have been made in his coaching.  He likes to tackle, is just clumsy at it, so instead of training his tackling and passing ability and thereby making him suitable for the flat midfield, he's been told to be less aggressive.

We have no attacking threat at all. Maybe shows how Collins is so much more effective when he has another forward player up with him…??

Plus maybe more midfield creativity required ??

Maybe it shows that Sibley is ineffective in the AMC role?

This is interesting, what does anyone who watches the academy regularly make of him? Palace have a decent academy reputation don’t they? I thought he was potentially a good pick up in the summer, would he be an option for the first time in time?

Saw him against Reading.   As well as scoring two goals, Bartley was very solid defensively, my man of the match.

Was getting a bit bored of this war now, needed a new plot line....hold on, in come Islamic State. Not sure we saw that twist.

Will IS join forces with Israel vs Iran and friends?

Israel were already having closer ties with the Gulf States and Saudis, so an unlikely combo cannot be ruled out.

Any thoughts who might join up on the Hamas/Iran side now? Russia might fancy it perhaps?

We does the US now support? IS are probably the worst terrorists right?

Although I'm sure there was talk of IS links with the Hamas attacks? Maybe Hamas will join the IS side? With Israel?

    Exciting times!

ISIS never attack Israel or their interests, during Syrian conflict their members received medical aid from Israel, some claim that the name ISIS is an in our face dark joke, that it stands for Israeli Secret Intelligence Service.  Terror bombing in Iran claimed by Islamic State, huh, no surprise there.

USA policy is the enemy of my enemy is my friend, until I stab him in the back.

“To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.”  - Henry Kissinger

Except for Israel of course, one might surmise.

  5. Cashin is a remarkably good central defender for his age.  He has quite a few years of improvement ahead, yet already reads the game well, is strong, tackles well and has impressive long passing ability, a rarity in that position.  There is considerable potential there and so if he is sold it can only be for big money.

  6. We recently moved to a small town of 1.300 people.  Such a change from (big city) Reykjavík, one being there are no bangs every 20 seconds since 9 AM, in fact hardly any.  I miss that.  I purchased a few fireworks, okay a lot of fireworks and I was originally planning to set them off in our backyard, but somehow @David came to my explosive mind and his incessant moaning about toy dog owners and their tragic toy dog soul shattering fireworks plights which then reminded me of the fact that our next door neighbor keeps a Yorkshire terrier.

So, the public square will host my fireworks show.  (it's a few dozen meters down the road) and I thank you David, you are helping turning me into a more considerate human being and lessening the risk of me becoming an early outcast from this quiet town.

Russia invading Ukraine is not a matter of perspective. It's cold irrefutable fact.

You can agree differently, but there are consequences. People in all civilised fora, even this one, will think you're trolling, insane, or in pay of the Kremlin.

Have you been stewing over my post from December 23 all Christmas?  I hope not, but that you had a very merry time of it, this season of goodwill and decency toward one another.

To clarify and hopefully ease your mind, I did not deny that Russia invaded Ukraine, just stated that the war did not start at that time, for the Minks agreement was never adhered to and civilians in the Russian speaking eastern districts continued to come under attacks.

  8. Cashin for me.  The central defender position usually takes a long time to gain proficiency at, as shown by defenders peaking late.  Of the two central positions, the left is the more difficult one to fill IMO.  Cashin is young, homegrown and is improving steadily as the season goes on.  Won't surprise me if he wins player of the season.

Lets just agree that it's a matter of perspective, the gist of it is, men get used as disposable property, I will never agree to that, from whatever side or purpose that arises.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this Putin’s war?

You can question whether Zelenski is sacrificing Ukrainian lives to defend his government’s beliefs. It’s valid.

But there is a big difference between being backed into a corner and making that decision and just outright instigating a war.

This war did not start with Russia's involvement, surely you know this.
