Yes I've been looking on Wednesday's forum, there is a few though that are still a little cautious. I do think though, if we were in Wednesday's position and with their form, we would be all giving it the large one. But with 18 games to go, 17 for Plymouth & Ipswich, its still a lot of points to be won or lost.
On Ipswich forum, they seemed to given up on having a automatic place and just hope to stay in the top 6 for a play-off slot. Plymouth 2 forums are split between staying in the top 2 or finishing 3rd. What ever happens, it's staying in the race as long as possible, keeping Plymouth & Wednesday looking over their shoulders at the team that won't go away.

It's a fine line that Mel took, Leicester escaped punishment by getting promoted to the protected promised land of the Premiership. QPR did the same (at Derby's expense) and then Villa who was also close to being in the crap got promotion through the play-offs. Mel gambled and it did'nt pay off. I think the EFL wanted to stamp out previous and future gambling clubs by hitting a well known big club hard and that just happened to be us.
The only bug I have with the EFL, was when Muddlesboro and a gobby yank from Wycombe were trying to claim loss of monies for one, not making the play-offs and the other getting relegated because we were not deducted points in 2 different seasons for allegedly wrong doing.  It was down to the EFL to deduct us points in 2 separate seasons for any wrong doing, but they backed them on the arguement.

It shouldn’t need a 2-0 loss to a PL team to be a reality check!
We are under strict restrictions that basically no other club in the football league is currently under. If we were promoted tomorrow, we’d expect additions to allow us to compete in the Championship, it’s not exactly shocking to be beaten comprehensively by a side that qualified for a European competition last season.
The biggest positive is on the balance of probabilities, we were “due a loss” after 19 games. Now let’s go another 19 game unbeaten run, I’d be ok with that.

Of course we were, they retrospectively changed the rules after we were punished that weren’t actually rules at the time we committed the ‘offences’, and then changed other rules after we were punished in order to allow other clubs to not get punished.
They were able to bully other, smaller clubs into oblivion and tried to do the same to us, but they bit off more than they could chew, making themselves look like the incompetent organisation that they are, in front of the whole country, Parliament etc.
Unfortunately now that the furore has died down they’ve crawled back under their rock, and we’ve got on with our business of playing football again. IMO It would have been nice to have done something on the anniversary of the March to remind everyone of what a useless organisation they are, but in retrospect it’s probably better that we do keep our heads down for a while.
If there’s any good that comes out of our predicament, hopefully it’s that no club will have to go through what we’ve been through, that they should be helping clubs survive when they get into financial trouble and not turning the screw on them like they have done up to now.

Yes will be interested to see if other clubs take unilateral action now that Wycombe and Boro have set a precedent in law. This for me was the shameful part of the entire story, in that the EFL facilitated it.

plymouthram reacted to S8TY in Paul Warne appointed as Head Coach
    Please stop being silly....
Cocu came here under difficult circumstances after Lampard ( who you fail to mention in your list!! ) but someone who left us in the lurch with a small part of pre season left, Lampard went on to manage Chelsea and Everton which by your yardstick means he's a good desirable manager but look how thats turned out.
Rooney showed real leadership when we needed it most when everything seemed to be going wrong at our club and i remember thinking how demoralising it would've been had Rooney walked away when we all going through the hell of the latter part of the Morris tenure, but he stayed and with Rosenior gave us more chance than I thought possible yet both were rookies learning as they went and made mistakes as anyone learning on the job does.
You seem very self righteous now in your love for Warne and although I really like the bloke and am very pleased with how he's got us working hard it doesn't detract from the fact i was sceptical when appointed and there is nothing wrong with that.
We all have doubts with decisions regarding new managers as no one is guaranteed to be a success and people airing there views is why we all here and it makes what the forum is
In the past you have found negatives galore as anyone with a glass half empty will find if you see it that way, but please don't make silly comparisons like saying Cocu was out of work for 2 years blahdy blah when many good managers have done the same ...Dyche for example has been out of management a while doesnt make him a bad manager, Bielsa,Wilder,Pochettino, Zidane,Tuchel, Benitez i think are all out of jobs ?
I will always be thankful of the efforts and loyalty shown by Rooney when we needed him the most and Rosenior is a good young coach/manager who will do well IMO and Hull City was a good move for him and I hope he does well
I have said this in the past Jourdan and no offence intended but you always find negatives in everything and now all of a sudden you are Warnes biggest fan and say he was ideal for us due to his history in league1 but plenty of managers have had the pedigree and credentials and experience to succeed but doesn't mean they do.
Wilder knew how to get teams promoted from league1 and the Championship yet failed at Boro so give Rooney, Rosenior and Cocu some credit maybe for the jobs they did under difficult circumstances

A few weeks back we were one of the teams in the league with 2nd or 3rd best least goals conceded. Now we have got the best record by none. What we did lack was goals for, which was quite low a few weeks ago. Now we have scored 33 putting us 8th best in goals for. The likes of Plymouth, Ipswich, Sheff Weds, Bolton, Barnsley, Wycombe, Bristol Rovers and Peterboro have all got squads thats been together longer than the Rams. Our squad was assembled approx 2 weeks before the season started. Thats why we are getting into a run, because the team has got better, it's finally tuned and firing in all positions. We are blessed with some good players that came to the club and could be good enough to still be part of a Championship team. We have the advantage of not many players coming in during the January window which won't imbalance the squad. I think this will be in our favour compared to the likes of Plymouth, who have so far signed 5 players. Ipswich have brought in 3, but Sheff Weds so far have brought in none.
Looking at the next 6 fixtures we have 3 fixtures against teams currently in the top 10. During the same period the 3 teams above us also play 6 league games. Plymouth play Ipswich and Sheff Weds, Sheff Weds also play Ipswich. There's points to be dropped there by possibly all of the 3 teams. If we beat Bolton, Wycombe and Portvale the gap between us and the top 3 will get closer and we will still have a game in hand on 2 of them and 2 in hand over the current leaders. We currently have 22 league games to play, avoid injuries, beat the teams around us, could still mean an automatic position is up for grabs.

Excellent stuff - the sort of few minutes that makes the players and fans believe anything is possible, even catching the top 2. The sort of few minutes that makes people think this just might be our year.

I think Jason has only recently hit the sort of form we'd hoped. Maybe he was taking a while to get back up to speed and understand the Warne way. I'd still much rather have both him and Sibley in midfield, who would complement each other so well. And be terrifying for the opposition. But it's good that Hourihane is being more involved and we're seeing better form from him too. I'm sure the two of them are helping each other, with the Irish connection a big plus too.

I think, not 100% sure it was mentioned that the agreed business plan could be reviewed and possibly adjusted after the 1st year. I think part of it was based on Derby having approx 17,000 season ticket holders. I don't know how many season ticket holders we currently have and that's also counting the top up of some fans doing the half a season purchase.
Also we have been shown on TV a few times, that's addition revenue. Prize monies in the FA cup also adds to the pot. So with our home fixtures in the league currently averaging 27,000 that is more income for the club. Oh, and before anyone asks, I'm not volunteering to sleep with Rick Parry.
