    I'm not ITK on what is going on and if there have been just two formal bids as the rumour mill indicates and the Appleby consortium is the party which has not bid that fits with the bit I do believe I know about.

    I was told in January, when Ashley was rumoured but had not actually bid, that the Appleby consortium firmly believed they were in pole position to be named as PB. However, they feared that Ashley was negotiating directly with Mel Morris to purchase the stadium and that Mel preferred Ashley over Appleby as the new owner.

    If the Appleby intelligence is accurate, it would explain why they have stepped aside, if indeed they have.

    I heard similar they thought the deal was as good as done, with Rush being involved in that there was no way Mel would be happy them being PB.

    I don’t know how it works but I rather suspect any offers received are not immediately shared with other interested parties. I can’t imagine the administrators ringing up Ashley and say “we’ve had an offer of £xxm. Can you beat it?”. Perhaps they do.

    They'll want the maximum amount they can get so id guess it would work that way

    Dorsett isn’t usually wrong but I’m gonna guess there’s some sensationalism here which is largely unhelpful on the day of a game

    To be expected Ashley who is renowned for wanting a bargain will likely be waiting to see what the others offer before sweeping in a few quid higher and taking us straight to the Prem.

    And that's the worry, isn't it?

    We'll end up going back to the barriers and cages of the 80s if we're not careful.

    I can only presume it is because those idiots running on to pitches now have never experienced the discomfort and claustrophobia that causes.

    Supporters and clubs have had an unspoken pact to honour the divide and keep our freedoms for several decades now but the kids breaking that risk spoiling it for the rest of us.

    It drove me right away from football before and would do so again if they return to caging us in.

    Think a standard heavy fine across all leagues and a lifetime ban would stop it, if its someones child the parent gets the ban that would soon make them educate their kids and stop them running on, its been glorified by players giving out their shirts to them too much which is a big cause for it.

    I really hope he stays, I'd like to think he is up for the fight even in League 1. I mean when do you get a chance to rebuild a club practically from the ground up the size of Derby in your own vision.

    Exactly its the perfect job for him and owner depending he'll be getting a decent wage for it, the only one i could see him leaving for is  a rebuild at United but i see them going for Poch so hopefully he stays.

  6. From the Quant Q&A;

    There has been talk in the press about a possible insurance policy against the claims. Is this correct?

    Yes, we have looked into it but currently feel the premiums are prohibitive and the legal costs of defending the claims would also have to be funded.

    Surely they should be making moves to take this action for if Boro & Wycombe drag out their decision on MM, before we know it another month will pass they could say no and in this time Quant shouldve been looking at plan b. If they're confident in this policy a go fund me page would raise enough for legal costs from fans im sure of it.
