They will put another type of embargo on us - super special secret embargo.

DCFC1388 got a reaction from Derby blood in Takeover Update
Whilst he is the owner yes it is his duty. Whilst I own my house it is my duty to pay the bills.
He chose to buy the club so he should pay for it until he can sell, we're in this situation because of him, only he can make it better so he should do everything he can to do that.

DCFC1388 got a reaction from Rev in Takeover Update
Correct, but I bought the house knowing I had to pay the bills otherwise things would stop like the wifi for the kids or the electricity would get cut off etc so Mel bought this club knowing he had to pay the bills, that hasnt changed so he keeps paying them until he sells so to me yes it is his duty as our owner

Well surely the below embargos get removed straight away?
Regulation 16.2 - Failure to provide audited annual accounts
Regulation 16.3 - Annual Accounts not filed with Companies House
Profit and Sustainability Rules - non-submission of audited accounts
The only one left is probably the below but if the accounts get agreed before we submission surely we can pay that bill too?
Regulation 17 - Default in payments to HMRC
The concern is if they put another type of embargo on us whilst the accounts get checked. Hopefully if an embargo is in place its one where we can sign players as the u21s dont count to the squad limit.

DCFC1388 got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Derby county value
There are clearly a lot of negatives in terms of buying us but there are positives for new owners too -
The market for players is probably at its lowest so can build a decent enough team to get us midtable on a small budget
The wage bill is at its lowest for a very long time
Our academy is producing a lot of potential first team players
Fans are allowed back in the stadium which is extra income

Regardless of if he wants to sell or not he is the owner so needs to pay all his bills as its his duty. If the EFL want evidence he will continue to fund us he should provide it, he may not like it but he is our owner and meant to be a fan so he should do it as it is clearly what is best for the club.

Had a good season 6 years ago for Blackburn playing alongside Rhodes , 1 in 2 game goal ratio. Could he click with Stretton ? Still only 32, maybe a bit young for our recruitment team ??

A bit controversial but, in this instance (just this one) are the EFL really being that unreasonable? Derby seem to be deep in debt, haven’t submitted annual accounts for a few years and are potentially in breach of P&S rules. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to insist on the accounts being submitted, any penalties accepted and some kind of evidence that the club can continue to pay its way before allowing further signings. (Tin hat on).

There were reports a while back that they would allow us to sign a few more players if Mel could prove he had the funds to keep us going for the season. It doesn't seem like he wants to or is even able to.
I say it with a bitter taste in my mouth, but in this instance the EFL are actually protecting one of their member clubs for a change. They are stopping us adding more people on to a wage bill we already can't afford until our glorious leader can prove he will actually honour his obligations before he pushes us even further down poo creek.

The idea is for players to move into positions making it harder for the opposition to mark them and dragging them out of position to open up space for us to exploit.
CM to FB, FB to W, W to AM, AM to CM
I think I remember one of the players describing Clement trying to use the same tactics.
I think the main problem is we need CBs capable of being playmaker, and Forsyth hasn't got it in him to play the LB role - it needs to be Buchanan or Williams who have the energy to bomb up and down the wing all day. Having Bielik/Knightb in at CM instead of Shinnie would make a big difference.

I like Byrne but he had a poor game today. However, you can’t deny that was a poor error by Byrne in a critical area of the pitch. An error that had nothing to do with tactics, game plan, knowing your role or set up. No defender in the world would try to claim they didn’t know what they should do in that situation. He knew exactly what he had to but messed it up.

Pathetic defending, the experience we have in the back 4 should have helped us see the gane out. But instead they challenge each other in the air and decide to fluff their clearances.

DCFC1388 reacted to Tombo in v Peterborough (A) Match Day Thread
I also don't think Byrne and Ebosele are cancelling each other out, I think our offence is just so lopsided it's easy to play against. There's no threat down the middle or the left. If we can show some danger down some alternative channels we'll stretch their defence.
Don't know which of Lawrence or Morrison is supposed to be on the left but whichever one is supposed to be there, they're absent. Use the whole width of the pitch otherwise the overload is crowded out on the right.
With some effective changes I think Festy and Nathan could have a strong second half

Individually I don’t think we’re too bad.
Tactically it’s just so naive though!
