Quality player, always seems to find time & space on the ball. Does need to be better in his decision making like Hull away I think it was when he could have put Sibley through but went himself.
I cannot wait to see him & Bielik play in the same midfield!

Glad of this thread - "king is naked" and all that.
Clearly he's one of the best - if not the best - at the club at receiving the ball in tight places and retaining it.
But where I'm really disappointed is his decision making in the final third.
Similar to Lawrence, he will shoot when laying off a pass would be a better option. However, his shooting is nowhere near as good as Lawrence's.
The game against Forest showed us glimpses of what would be possible with an interchanging, fast moving, slick passing forward quartet of Jozwiak, Sibley, Lawrence and Morrison. But that's only going to work if the decision making is good and the passing sharp.
I keep wondering if Louie Watson would be better in the front four for that reason. And drop Morrison back alongside Bird/Shinnie/Knight in the defensive two CDMs.

For £4,500.00-a-week in this day and age, he's an absolute star of a player - as is Jagielka.
He's a steady player at this level, but remember that steady players at this level demand £15k-a-week with bonuses on top.

Advanced fullbacks isnt an issue, but they shouldnt both be so advanced at the same time.
One should go forward and the other stay back to leave a back 3 with 1 of the cdm filling in the space to make it a back 4 still

I think the biggest ticking clock now is on contracts. If we don't get a resolution by January, we could end up with half of the team, including promising academy players, either leaving for pittance or on a free in the summer.

I think its a case of agreeing a punishment with the efl which will coincide with the accounts being submited & embargos removed
    Sign a few frees
Extend some contracts that run out in the summer
Try & get a takeover sorted

No matter how bad it gets, you have to live in hope that the good times will return.
Here are a few examples of current Premiership teams who've had recent bad times :
    Man City - 3rd division in 2001
    Leicester City - Bankrupt & 3rd division in 2008/09
Leeds United - Bankrupt in 2007 and 3rd division for 3 seasons to 2010
Southampton - Bankrupt and 3rd division in 2009
Brighton - no ground and 3rd division up to 2011
    Wolves - 3rd division in 2014/15

For a team that struggles to score goals tonight is probably the 1st game this season we havent created anything and only the 2nd game put of 8 that we havent scored in. Also, for a team that struggles with crosses, long balls & long throws we dealt with it again pretty well tonight against 1 of the most effective teams who play that way. Think other than Salford which was men vs boys the only set piece goal we have conceded was vs Huddersfield?

Yes a toss up between Ince and Vydra. Both were POTY and sold for a good profit.
My pick would be Ince as he delivered over more than one season.

Thought for the first half of that half we were the better team, playing some lovely stuff but then jist stopped.
Yes it was a poor back pass from Buchanan, Roos made a decent save but for me Jagielka shouldnt be letting that ball bounce across him, he has to be clearing it.
Need to get back on the front foot 2nd half, we have got in behind their left wingback a lot and can target that area, we're not out of this. Buchanan needs to offer more down the left.

They had five centre-forwards on their books that season, with every single one of them individually costing more than we spent on Martyn Waghorn:
    Britt Assombalonga: £15m
    Martin Braithwaite: £9m
    Ashley Fletcher: £6.5m
    Rudy Gestede: £6m
Jordan Hugill: On loan, but having moved to West Ham from Preston in the January for £10m
£46.5m of firepower, £36.5m of which was out of Boro's pocket. Don't know how they coped.
Furthermore, £30.5m of that money was spent while Boro were in the Championship. But obviously, us signing Martyn Waghorn for £5m to replace the £11m Matej Vydra is the real problem.
On a side note, they only got a £4m return on that crop of players, with Assombalonga, Fletcher and Gestede all leaving on frees, and Hugill going back to West Ham at the end of the season.

Meanwhile watford FC continue to sell players at inflated prices to their sister club in Italy and in return receive players at reduced cost to meet their finances/ restrictions and have been doing so for years and have at least two promotions on the back of it.
oh look Nottingham forest do the same
meanwhile Wolves benefitted hugely from only loaning half of Portugal national team which no other team was allowed the same option to loan the same players.
I am not saying they should be punished because it’s a loophole close it or restrict it maybe.
the point I am making is that these are loopholes ( still open) but loop holes none the less and what we did was exploit  a loophole that might have Benefited us - it might not have but we currently don’t know that, but little else and what the EFL are doing is massively over the top spurred on by over zealous owners of other clubs and a consistent barrage of targeted negative press.

You don’t think changing the pricing structure, when there were 8000 existing season ticket holders who had paid under the existing one, was a decision that perhaps was best left until the following season in the interests of fairness? Personally I think it would have made a lot more sense
I also don’t think the argument that you should pay more because you got something that the people who paid less also got is a particularly good response or valid argument either.
£75/£100 obviously isn’t a great deal of money to some but it is to others and it can be the difference between going and not going. I think some on here don’t always seem to appreciate that.
Personally I think @DCFC1388and @ck- as well as the countless others, including myself, who have exactly the same issue should be either offered the difference between what they paid and what they would have done if they hadn’t helped the club out by leaving their money in it during the pandemic, or have the Rams Squad season tickets, bought in good faith, honoured.
On a separate note I would like to applaud you both on receiving an email back from the club though ?

Well after over 2 weeks since my first email, the club have finally got back to me saying they will not reimburse me for the difference in cost of my season ticket. The price I could have renewed at this year is around £75 less than the price I paid when I renewed ahead of last season - great way to reward my loyalty of renewing for 10+ seasons.
£75 may not seem much to some people, but add in the fact ive had to pay double for my sons season ticket with the Rams Squad Membership 'free' season ticket not being a thing this year. Double whammy.
