    Dear Mr Pop,
Thank you for taking the trouble to screenshot a post of mine last night to include on the OTIB forum, I feel blessed.
Despite all your guff and gnashing of teeth, the only  discrepancy The EFL ever had on us was the explanation of our amortisation could have been clearer which is regrettable.
Everything else was approved by them.
What  I am having trouble comprehending though, is why it’s so difficult for you and your cohorts to understand that though The EFL, aided by the goon at Middlesbrough FC, wanted us hammered and were determined to do so, doesn’t the fact they couldn’t hammer us, even slightly give you the impression they had nothing to hammer us for? ?‍♂️
Give it up old son, you’ve made yourself look a bit silly over this, I mean, you obsess with us yet not a peep out of you regarding Bournemouth, Villa, Leeds or Leicester who have all benefitted far more than us by wandering from the straight and narrow.
And now your work with us is now done, keep your minces on Stoke and Reading, they might give you something else to get your teeth into. Don’t forget to say hello when you visit the cathedral of football on the 23rd of March.
Good grief, imagine if you come here needing points to stay up and we tonk you and send you down...? Karma can be a good thing you know.
    Best Regards,

Take this as it's meant, this has come via two pretty influential figures in DCFC history over the past 30 years, not claiming to be ITK and am just repeating what I've been told from sources that I rate highly.
Been told today that it is a Washington DC based consortium/investors that are behind the bid for the club, knew Rooney when he played for DC United, and are just waiting to see which division we are in next season, it's expected to be the Championship.  Led to believe that one of the investors is an agent.
IF we are relegated then Rooney walks, that is not thought to be expected though.
All ready to go and waiting on the EFL appeal and conformation of Championship status.

No idea of money to spend, but given the past few years spending then maybe that doesn't really matter and frugality could be the key.

"Dan Plumley, a sport finance expert at Sheffield Hallam University, said the integrity of the EFL’s profit and sustainability rules were at stake, but saw no end to creative accounting to beat the FFP system.
“One of the major downsides with financial fair play from day one is that clubs have always been looking to circumvent the regulations to work in their favour,” he said.
“This is a new thing. We saw that with stadium sales as well… one club did it and two or three followed suit. I have no doubt we will see something else crop up in the future."
He added: “I’m sure some people will call it cheating. I’m sure some people will call it creative and inventive. But whichever way you cut it, it’s designed with financial fair play in mind and that’s what the clubs are looking at – how do they comply with those regulations in whatever way possible?”

Thank you, yes we are doing much better, it has been a tough few months, but yesterday we picked up the keys to our new home. During lockdown last year we lived in a 2 bed flat with no garden, my 3 year old had no where to play bless him, another source of stress for me.  We managed to sell our place, rent somewhere temporarily and buy somewhere with a big garden for my son to play in. We finally picked the keys up yesterday and seeing the smile on my sons face when he saw his new garden is something I will never forget.
Derby County are a continued source of stress at the minute, but if my situation tells us anything, even in the longest darkest tunnel, there will be light at the end eventually.

Just wanted to bump this thread from last month in light of recent events.
I maintain its very unlikely we'll be playing League One football come August but there will be an inevitable weariness to this constant uncertainty with no clear end in sight. Its relentless & I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who is shaking their head with incredulity at all this, feeling really powerless & just craves a normal, quiet summer with the odd new signing
    Things to remember;
    1. Perspective - this club has come through some really grim times & yes, we're back here again but we survived in 1984, we survived in 2003-05 & we'll bounce back from this too. And others; Luton got a 30 point deduction, sank into non-league not so long back - they finished above us last year. Leeds were minus 15 points in League One & they came back too. Secondly, as some of the posts earlier on this thread demonstrate, there's some proper hard times being experienced by some out there that makes football seem very unimportant indeed.
    2. Whatever the morons behind the ESL think, clubs are all about the fans & this particular club is lucky to have a very loyal & large fanbase. We're a massive community of like minded folk - please don't forget & that this place is great for venting feelings, however irrational/furious/hopeless
    3. Tomorrow is another day & things don't stay the same indefinitely. All this will pass.
In the spirit of the second point, I'm going to back off the Rooney bashing for a bit. Made my feelings crystal clear but frankly I'm more concerned about the club stabilising and the fanbase uniting as a group & showing the commitment & loyalty needed to ride out these rough times. And if he does stay come what may & tries to turn this ship around, I'd be lying if that wouldn't impress me massively.
Long live DCFC, they'll never keep us down... ?

I think we’re all feeling a bit like that mate. Rugby and cricket seem to be worth watching, but keep the faith, we have an amazing history as a club, and once through this poo we will all still be Rams fanatics.

From the EFL rule book. I await the EFLs action against Wycombe for their remarks today. (I won't hold me breath)

Most rookie managers fail. Failure next season could see us drop into League 2. IMO, it is not a time for an inexperienced manager.
That said, I think Curtis is a real credit to the club and my gut feeling is that he'll make a very good manager.
I still think a rookie is a terrible idea, but if that's where we go, Curtis would be the best option...and instantly have a huge amount of support and good will.

    I know i know .
No experience whats so ever , butttttttttttt cant help feel there is a sensible young bloke who commands respect and would do things quietly and rightly ( a bit like Nigel son of god Clough ) .
Would a complete reset in the division below be such a bad thing lets clear out all the bloody lot .The chairman who has got us into this pickle, get rid of rooney , and most of the players who quite frankly are not good enough .
My gut is saying Davies is going to become an excellent young manager and he wants to stay at the club .Sometimes when your at the bottom , it might not seem as bad as it is and who knows the EFL and their major player ( steve im going to get morris gibson ) might be doing us a real favour in the long term .

Because they’ve been fed the crap the daily fail has been putting out on behalf of the EFL, convinced themselves we’re cheats and through their partisan blinkers want to see us burn. Stuff coming out now (even Kieran Maguire) saying we’re potentially within spending limits with the change in amortisation policy - therefore no unfair advantage at all.

Ok if we adopt a siege mentality, which I agree with, that would mean no slagging off the players, the manager or the owner.

Reading other fans forums the majority of fans have got it in for us. They or us perhaps do not know the full details but most have made up their minds. Next season will have to be a 'Millwall mentality' by both the players and fans alike!

If takeover takes place and we sign 4/5 players on loan then possibly top 10. If not then its Championship football for at least a couple more years. The first ten matches will be the marker for the rest of the season.

It's no ones fault on here and of course its an important debate but I don't know about anyone else but the seemingly endless problems that are ongoing is really getting to me.....I'd love to be just talking about what we love but that seems way down the list and the EFL and us have really become a laughing stock its embarrasing and draining ...the EFL appeal...The Fine...The points deduction....The Takeover...will we sign anyone...the transfer embargo blah blaaah blaaaah I'd just love it if we could just get this sorted and move on!! It feels painful to be a Derby fan at the moment and yet I love this club and love football , win lose or draw football is why I choose to follow this club all over the country ....it just seems never bloody ending........................sad times indeed ................COYR
