Tamworthram reacted to JoetheRam in The UEFA European Championship 2020 Thread
But why are players expecting to be called up to be told they're not involved?
His only concern should be the 26 he actually wants. Did he call up every English player before he made his list of 33 to tell them they weren't going to involved? If he did, I'm still waiting on him calling me to tell me to cancel my plans.

Slightly worse than CKR last season (1 in 6.2 for BA last season compared with 1 in 4.6 for CKZ). Also, Whilst he may be younger than CKR I’m not sure I’d describe him as up and coming (he’s 28 now) and isn’t more prolific.
CKR isn’t the medium/long term solution but I’m not sure BA is either. Also, I’d imagine he’s on quite a high wage.

I’m not exactly sure what he’s meant to say if a reporter asks about the Man United game. I doubt very much that he chose to call the interview.
Sorry buddy, but there are more important things to be astonished about. Next thing, you’ll be outraged that Rooney chose to fly to the match and had the audacity to be smiling for a selfie.

Some scientists and the media i would say but the noises from government are opposite of this..this today from the BBC website
Asked about the prime minister's plans amid warnings over the spread of the Indian variant, a No 10 spokesman says: "I was going to point to what the PM said on Thursday."
On Thursday, Johnson said: "I don't see anything currently in the data" to divert from the 21 June target for the next stage of exiting lockdown. But he did concede that "we may need to wait" for more data.
The spokesman continues: "The prime minister has said on a number of occasions that we haven't seen anything in the data but we will continue to look at the data, we will continue to look at the latest scientific evidence as we move through June towards 21 June."

Is this the same Cummings that we were told was a bare faced liar 12 months ago? Amazing how eager some are to hang on his every word now!
Its also noticeable that alot of gone quiet on the comparisons with other countries now that the other countries have had their third wave of infections.
Remember when Germany were the gold standard in track and trace for Europe?
Pretty much all they are left with now are 2 countries out in the middle of nowhere and the middle eastern countries who have had experience of pandemics and are used to walking round wearing masks.

I think the argument is that relaxing restrictions will increase infection rates and, whilst the mortality rate might not increase significantly, hospitalisations might which would hinder the current plan to clear the massive backlog of non Covid cases/operations.

I really don't know what you can expect the club to say about ongoing takeover discussions. If you're specifically referring to the two failed takeovers, what could they say in public? We're having huge doubts about the prospective buyers, they seem like tyre kickers or even complete tools? They've announced prospective deals, and announced when they've fallen through. That's at least sufficient for me. Then again, I am a happy clapper.

I don’t know how many appearances were as a sub but, didn’t he score just 5 goals in 31 games last season and 16 over 66 games for the last two season combined? If so, hardly prolific.

Stayed injury free then we sign him and the first game he will do his acl Derby style. It’s always the way it goes

He doesn’t tend to sack players.
More likely we signs him and he’s injured most of the season.

The press don't see the irony in spending months telling us that Cummings was a lying toad and now quoting every comment he makes as gospel.....

That was my thought in a nutshell. Where was his principles when he was of the opinion Johnson wasn’t fit to hold office ? Too busy milking the gravy train that’s where. He just comes across as vindictive as well as bitter to me so while I’ve no doubt shocking mistakes were made I don’t give yesterday’s bile much credence because as the number one advisor to Johnson he’s got to have played a part in the decisions made surely so by definition he’s as culpable. Buckpassing twot.

I agree. I’m sure plenty of what he has said is true and those in power have a lot to answer for but I don’t remember him being very vocal or critical of the approach when he was part of the inner circle.

I’m not aware of a team called Tamworth shrews. I’d better get going starting one. I’d still fancy our (the mighty Shrews that is) chances. ?

And, if you enjoyed Gomorrah, I’d recommend Subarra. It doesn’t quite reach the very high standards set by Gomorrah but still worth a watch.

Sorry, it doesn’t make sense to me.
Despite what we all think about the EFL I don’t think they would suggest that if Mel confesses, says sorry and offers to pay a fine they’d continue to pursue a points deduction but, if a new owner said the same they’d treat it differently.

You’d assume the previous two failed attempts were about “finally selling up”.
