Papahet got a reaction from Hector was the best in No midfield control again…
All Hourihane can do is pick out the odd pass every half a dozen games (his set pieces have gone downhill), said this for over a year that considering the level he's played he's not dictating many games. Legs went at Villa. He needs move further forward IMO.
Bird, like Sibley hasn't pushed on and needs a fresh challenge - don't think he's been the same player since his injury. Although sometimes he does show quality. Sell for a million if offered it.
Thompson, runs around like a headless chicken and gets praised for doing so, genuinely don't get the love fest for him (?) Was fine when he was out injured, which shown he wasn't a major absence.
Fornah? Wtf happened with him?
We need a box to box midfielder a'la Bryson, someone like Brannagan would've been perfect.

Papahet reacted to JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta in Warne Out Out
I posted a version of this in the match thread but it belongs here I think. I'm Warne out, I have been all season really. Even in our run of form performance levels were frequently poor and we rarely look like a team in control of a football match.
The simple fact is Warne thinks he can approach the Derby job with good vibes and percentage based kick and rush football down the flanks that offers little control. There's not really any nuance to it and any manager with half a brain can figure it out and counter it.
Despite the above, we have brute forced a number of wins by having better players and a bigger budget than the opposition. If we get promoted we won't have better players and a bigger budget than the opposition. What do we do then?
I maintain that a manager with a more advanced approach to football and how to set a team up would extract better performances out of this team, and the deficiencies I see in Warne's approach will only become more of a problem as time goes on.

Would have invaded the pitch soon after they scored TBH , give them a piece of what they did to Port Vale.

Papahet reacted to MackworthRamIsGod in January Reinforcements
It's just a very typical January window to be fair.
We got ourself within touching distance of top 2, a couple of good signings and we could have kicked on.
But, just like last year, we fail to strengthen the areas we need.
Within a couple of weeks top 2 is looking a tough ask and even Barnsley behind us are a point behind with a game in hand. We have arsed it up Big time.
Our number 1 striker target, we can't afford 🤣 ridiculous.

Papahet reacted to LN747 in No midfield control again…
Seemed obvious for 2 seasons , we struggle to control centre midfield, especially when the pressure is on
My priority would be a better CM , but where do you find anything better for loan…

Papahet reacted to Comrade 86 in Michael Smith
How typical of the Wendies. Tell them to jog on, I reckon. We have Collo and while I'd like to see cover for him, it's good to see us standing our ground and not being held to ransom. The way some clubs go about their business staggers me, but hey, it's their player and therefore their prerogative, but for me, it's a resounding 'no' and a move onto the next on the list. I'm still more concerned about MF to be honest.

Papahet got a reaction from Rammysees in Korey Smith
Didn't do a bad job at Rb last season, just a nervous wreck going in the opposition half.

Papahet got a reaction from Carl Sagan in January Reinforcements
Ladapo to Charlton - Thought we'd have been all over this if avaliable.
Why are they signing players being so far behind the top 6?

Papahet got a reaction from Ted McMinn Football Genius in Corey Blackett-Taylor - Signed on Loan/Permanent in Summer
Are we actually skint or we just being mindful of how we spend after the MM fiasco?
There's surely a difference, just struggle to see where the Knight money went (?)

Papahet reacted to Gabby'sThighs in Charlie Savage
According to this article, Charlie Savage gets a £2,000 p/w pay increase after 15 starts, and he's currently on 14. That may explain why he's stuck on the bench:
