Speaking as an American, I find your comments about my fellow countrymen both offensive and grossly inaccurate, I would imagine your only dealings with Americans were buying a pint of Bud Light and scoffing a Big Mac

I don’t know where you got these numbers from , but if I take the Millwall figures which are in the public domain their wages and salaries were for 22/23  £22.6million on a turnover of £19.4million i.e wages to revenue of 117% so I do not see where the figures quoted above are sourced fromand their total expenditure was £30.3 million giving a loss of £12.2 million which included player sales of £2.5 million, Millwall finished 8th in 22/23 Given that the Rams will have revenue of a maximum £30 million I cannot see DC putting £10million of his own cash to cover any debt and pay wages/salaries of £420,000 a week to match a mid table team like Millwall, don’t forget the business plan is to break even.

Clough. He spent our money very wisely and very carefully. He was a great manager for us and it was such a shame how he was treated. If he had been allowed to continue and given the backing Mclaren was we would not be in the position we are now

Serious question, given that the club has to be financially self supporting, where do you expect the extra cash to come from?

I believe it has to be decided before April this year and sanctions implemented, so as the Premier league does not end up with the EFL Derby/Wycombe/Boro situation and law suits flying around

Hourihane was asked about tactics at the fans forum and said it was up to the players to adapt to what the manager wants. In saying today, we are trying, he's giving the same message.
I think it is his way of saying we're doing what we're told to do. My take on that (both times) is that it's not what he - and probably several others - wants to do.
I'm maybe just thinking that because it's not what I want them to do, either.

I lost count of the number of posts wanting us to buy Jonson Clarke-Harris whose club started off by wanting £5M for him. In the end it, depending on where you read it, was somewhere between £800K and £1M. This season we are allowed to pay "moderate fees". I don't see £800K to £1M in L1 as "moderate".
May 19 - suggestion to buy Nisbet from Hibs. someone replied "Hibs won't budge for anything under £2m."
June 9 - Aron Collins Bristol Rovers. He would have cost 7 figures.
June 9 - Ben House. Same as Collins.
You may not have noticed but there is much more to social media than just this forum. Player suggestions who would cost up to £3M abounded during the window. They all seem not to understand what "moderate" means.

Why the concern with a new midfield player, current tactics are to bypass midfield whenever we have possession.
