Managers like Roy will only go for players who give you a physical advantage. Players like Lionel Messi, George Best, maybe even a young Maradona will get overlooked by managers playing the percentage game.
Chelsea getting rid of young kids like Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah sums up modern football perfectly. They must not have been physical enough at 16.

I think we already knew that about both of them, I love Ravel and how he finally found his feet, and I've no doubt he has grown up from what he was.
But... its hard to have underachieved as much as he has and still be taken seriously as a role model.. He's at best a lesson in how to not let it go to your head.
Same with Lawrence, I didn't want him to leave, or was one of those anti him. But its hard to look upto a drink driver, that potentially on another day could have killed someone.
Sibley was probably more grown up than both of them ?

Skysports (or anyone moving it), should work towards making sure cheap travel is available to and from the game.
For how much they pay, would it be that much of an inconvenience for them to work with train companies making sure a subsidised train service was available etc

but he is right in the comment that he didnt have the physicality for the prem at that time, that is why he went austria and no other prem team took a gamble on him straight away. i am sure plenty would have been watching him.

i dont think anybody saw him becoming the striker he has become when he was at molde. but then he grew into a physical monster. look at his goal records as a player both internationally and nationally, he really exploded as a player when he had the growth spurt in 2018/19

The main fight where KSI took on the “professional” Pineda was embarrassing, the guy looked like McLovin had been thrown in there having got in with his fake ID.
Never seen someone so scared to be in the ring, complained to the ref every time he took a hit. Looked like a guy that had been given a shed load of money to go in there and let the KSI show continue.
If it’s available anywhere to watch online, you have to go look it up.

I'm enjoying it so far, but that wouldn't last if we start to struggle, and there's unique circumstances.
With whats happened the last two years, I'm just glad to get back to football, on field talk not what's happening behind the scenes. Its nice to see some different faces after so long in the championship as well.
But as much as I'm enjoying it, going up won't fill me with overwhelming joy and emotion, it will be more relief and job done type thing. And I dont expect to go straight up but if we are here in two years getting ready for a third In this division, any novelty will have well and truly worn off.

    Hi David
I am aware that some of the questions may seem unorthodox and not 100% related to football. This is due to the survey and study originally being made for American Sports and it's still being adapted for football.
We would love if you would consider filling out the survey as every fans views will be taken into account and eventually we are looking to relay all of findings to the clubs and fans.
If you would like to find out more about the study please contact Dr. Peter Dickenson (https://www.lboro.ac.uk/schools/sport-exercise-health-sciences/people/peter-dickenson/) or have look on the Know Rivalry website (https://knowrivalry.com/).
    Cheers.

Massively making a joke out the sport, when it was the odd fight between two non fighters, with a grudge to settle then I could tolerate it.
The money in boxing isn't great, you don't really make much until you start getting on decent undercards on PPV or bigger fights. Even some really good fighters struggle if they aren't on the Eddie Hearn bandwagon. It must be so disheartening to put your life into the sports, winning fights, making your way but barely earning a wage after your expenses. And then you switch the TV on for some you tube celeb, cashing in on the sport. Part of me doesn't blame them though, they are looking after themselves but something doesn't feel right for me

    Some good advice on here
Like some have mentioned, keep on top of services coming to the end of contracts. I didn't realise I'd been out of contract on my BT phone/TV/Internet, had been paying £50 plus for a TV box I didn't use as I have a firestick and add ons, plus the Internet (albeit fast) was overkill. Changed over to Now for the Internet at £20 a month. Not a massive change but helps offset the increase of gas/elec from £90 to £200 plus.

Some have mentioned WFH tax relief, uniforms etc which are good. If you are in a relationship and one of you doesn't use your full personal allowance (stay at home parent for example), 10% or so of your allowance can be transferred to the one working and saves a little tax.

I'm also a payroll manager in my day to day work, so I'm happy to offer any help (free) if anyone doesn't understand their pay, thinks something is wrong etc. Employers tend to get pay correct but HMRC are probably the most incompetent organisation I've ever had to deal with, they regularly make mistakes with employee tax codes especially where benefits are involved. Always check things like your tax code and if it isn't the standard 1257L cumulative, then you should always make sure you know how or why it's changed.

Finally... We have a spreadsheet as a household, which lists all our spending, and means you can budget going forward. If you get everything down, and keep an eye over what's coming up, it's useful to stop any unexpected costs arising (forgetting car MOT for example). You'll not remember all costs straight away but as you build up a history and update the budget going forward. As part of that we also have little pots of savings like Xmas fund, holiday fund etc, so we might have x amount in the savings account but the spreadsheet will explain what that is made up of. It all sounds very boring to most people but if you can budget so things like Xmas don't bite you, it can help you get into financial trouble if you then have to borrow. Me personally, I am awful with money, I used to spend whatever was in my account and panic the next payday when I had annual costs I'd forgotten about. If you are geeky like me, it's also nice to see what the future could look like if you do A B or C. It can also highlight areas you Re spending a lot as well. Food shopping was a big one for us, as I'd just go to the shops and spend £50 on a visit outside of the main shop, just buying crap I thought I needed. Now we have a budget each month, I know I have x amount per week or so and can see if I am going close to it or not and make adjustments.

The Mrs has a party to get back for, we parked in Travelodge and didn't want to get locked in there for 40 mins.
By time we went to cross the road the stadium erupted.
Got to the car and erupted again.

Sorry but this is even sillier than the lost ST thread. There are some dodgy folk on this site ?. Either cut it up into pieces (the owner will/should report it lost and it will be stopped) or notify the bank in question (or take the card into one of their branches). The bank will probably ask you to destroy it anyway.

No doubt haters will say they played a weakened team etc, but it's always nice to beat a team further up the football pyramid.
Also want us to go as far as possible, even if it's not a money spinner and we won't win the thing. Winning means something whatever the competition
