Quite average actually, certainly not easy on the eye, which I'm beginning to think is the way to play if we want to get out of this league.

3-0 somewhat flatters us which seems to be par for the course recently, but can't complain. 3 more points towards the end goal and yet another confidence building result.

    How does 3-0 flatter us?

It could quite easily have been 5 or 6.

But here we are: a 60% chance of staying in this godforsaken league for at least another season. And as each year goes by, our club’s stock falls lower.

And even when we get back to the championship, is DC the man to lead us to the PL? Nope. Portsmouth, owned by a Disney billionaire, have a good chance of getting there. And they’ll be competing with other clubs owned by billionaires, some flying high on parachute payments. Truth is, Ryan Reynolds is more likely than us to see his team in the PL any time soon. (Or is it Netflix’s team?)

DC needs NOW to employ a smart well-connected agent to prepare a detailed proposal for a sale and to quietly and selectively market it to football mad billionaires across the globe. With middling PL clubs now going for 100s of millions, many might fancy a roll of the dice with us.

If he does that successfully,  he will go from hero to superhero. If he does not, many of us -  including him - might not see our team in the top flight ever again.

I read garbage like this and seriously wonder if the poster is on a wind up or drugs.

Comparing tables is really superficial considering after 18 games a team is on average 4 points better/worse off where they deserve to be and upwards of 10 max.

A more accurate assessment would be:

    2022
Lucky: Oxford (2) Barnsley (2) MK Dons (2)
    Unlucky: Charlton (1) Fleetwood (2) Lincoln (1) Port Vale (1) Exeter (2) Morecambe (2) Portsmouth (2)
    Deserved points: +5 (34)

Chances net (red card-adjusted): +1.8 pg

    Chances/goals scored ratio 4, conceded 3.8

    2023
    Lucky: Fleetwood (2) Peterborough (2) Portsmouth (1) Blackpool (2) Bristol (2)
    Unlucky: Wigan (1) Oxford (1) Cambridge (2) Cheltenham (2)
    Deserved points: -3 (30)

    Chances net: +1.72 pg

    Chances/goals scored ratio 3.2, conceded 4.4

Marginally worse and considerably luckier this year.

So we weren't Unlucky v Bolton?

When I buy multiple tickets, the first one is assigned to me, I then scroll down to the 2nd ticket and assign it to the correct age group and fan ID, wash, rinse repeat for all subsequent tickets...

Yeah, I do the same,  but for some reason it's not having it today.

  5. Trying to buy tickets online for this for me and the Grandson and it will only let me buy 1.

Got tickets for us both loads of times but the assign tickets box is already ticked and I keep getting the quantity of tickets owned by ------ exceeds limitations message.

Looks like a trip to the ticket office tomorrow,  but it's a pain in the arris.

  6. We've just beaten a team that were unbeaten in their previous 6 games and were set up deliberately to spoil and stop us from playing according to their manager.

I for one am happy that we managed to get the 3 points despite their tactics and close the gap on some of those above us.

It was great to see so many stand and applaud for B4 and can only think that like me, loads were clock watching and started clapping as soon as it hit 38 minutes.

We need to get promoted or this will be a constant for us. Any promising youngsters will be hoovered out

Villa seem to have a hotline to our academy, some rich, easy and local pickings to be had

Conor hourihane works with the Villa academy.

If we play well and win well on Saturday he will be surviving until the next bad performance and result. If however there is quite a while before that happens and in the meantime we are much improved then a lot of the doubters will have changed their tune and will forgive him a bad result.

But if we play badly and lose badly, or even frankly just lose at all on Saturday then he’s in deep trouble. There is not a lot of patience or faith left amongst some of the fans

4th official for a premier League game is part of the preparation for upcoming referees before they get given the opportunity to referee at that level isn't it?

So yes, of itself might not be as headline grabbing as it at first appears but does show she's held on the regards that she could be a premier League ref in the future.

    It's a tick box exercise.

I'm not saying she isn't good enough and won't go on to have a great career,  but rushing people through before they are ready results in people like Atwell.

Could I just say congratulations to Rebecca Welch who will be officiating in the Prem tomorrow.

Best ref we’ve seen in League One.

    Much deserved recognition.

Won't she just be holding up the subs numbers and watching to see if more than one person stands in the technical area?
