    Play him down the middle

    And he'll score you goals

    Came through the academy

He is  one of our own.

    Louie, Louie,

    Louie, Louie,

    Louie, Louie.

Add a few claps and there you go. Easy, this chants lark!

Get approval from the Dcfcfans judges before singing though.

Name 5 songs that we have as a club and I'll give you

    2 songs about players tackle

1 song about being deducted points 2 years ago

2 songs that 10 people know the words to

It's embarrassing. We've had an almost complete turnover in players, but none of them get a halfway original song. That's why we have no atmosphere, we don't like our players enough to even steal another clubs song for them

Make up some new ones, or are you another that likes to moan rather than contribute?

Most fans would get off their arse as you put it, if there was a lot more passing and in front of goal action to cheer.

No they wouldn't. They stand and clap along to any poxy goal music, then sit and clap along to whatever is being sung and then go quiet again.

Maybe us supporters could do a little test.

One week we could keep silent, apart from groans when someone misplaces a pass or makes a mistake.

Another week we could sing from beginning to end, only offering unconditional support, cheers and clapping.

With a small sample size, it would be difficult to draw any firm conclusions on how it impacts results, but the supporting one definitely sounds more fun.

Maybe running the test over a full season might show that supporting the team helps improves results? Might be worth doing as presumabley we all want the team to do well?

Can we do the one where we sing from start to end first just to see how many bother to join in.

The refereeing is poor but its the same ref for both sides.

Start playing well, Creating more chances & we'll find we'll get more decisions or the poor decisions will affect the game less if we are three up.

Yes the officiating hasnt been the best but its the standard for the division we find ourselves in. We need to stop moaning about it & start playing proper football

Yes it's the same ref for both sides, but that doesn't mean they ref the same for both sides.

I'd love to get up and join in, but being a mere aisle away from the Family Stand, any industrial language and/or referencing of oversized genitalia is somewhat frowned upon.

That just leaves me with "Come on Derby".
I can't keep that up all game!

    👀

You don't have to follow what the south stand sing and you could always be inventive and make songs up.

The popside and ossie end used to sing different songs and then the C stand would fire up with something,  even the Normo would get going.

  7. The atmosphere is flat because the majority of Derby fans can't be bothered at home games.

Look around you in the east, west and north stands and you'll find the majority don't sing once SBW has finished and the South Stand noise is basically made by those at the top of D and E blocks whilst the rest look at their phones.

The atmosphere at PP was good for a while during the admin period and improved for a while after the takeover,  but let's not kid ourselves that it's anything above average for the majority of the time.

We either need to be a play off semi final or some other big occasion to get most fans off their arse.

    Yep. But we’re not cheats

And you're not paid to make the right decision.

These calls can cost clubs millions at the end of the season if they fail to get promoted or are relegated by a couple of points.

If we played better football we wouldn't need the referees decisions to get a result?

    Just saying....

How many games have you seen where the team playing the better football have lost?

We all want to see great entertaining football,  but at the end of the day, it's all about getting the ball in the net and stopping the other team from doing the same.

We Scored the first goal and should have had a penalty before that even though Bolton were playing better than us, and without the refs dodgy decisions we could well have gone on to get 3 points.

If a player chooses to not sign for a club because of what Brian, 56, living with mum and 2 cats, says on a football forum; not sure we would want hin anyway.

    Silly Brian.

These players are no different to anyone else nowadays and will look at social media and other things about the club and support.

They may well be impressed at the numbers we get, but not so happy to see the team getting booed after 2 or 3 games or the toxicity surrounding the club when things go wrong.

We are not going to make the players we sign financially secure for life like your Man city's or Chelsea,  so players at this level don't just look at the money and say stuff it.

Yes of course in the same manner it may be easy to discriminate against a person for race, religion, gender, disability etc without it being proven.

    Doesn't make it acceptable though

    It's totally different though.

If people apply for a job and don't get it because of discrimination,  they definitely have a case and should win.

If Derby don't want a player because they think he's a wrong un, they don't ask him or his agent if he will play for us.

Isn't the south stand meant to start songs that the rest of the ground can join in with, I thought the original purpose was for it to be the singing section in the ground?

We try to get the ground going, but even the east stand have refused to join in or start chants when we try to get them to.

Well I'm saying that we aren't in a bad way - it was last night and I can't remember the point. You say you think we are in debt.

I go back to DC saying we have a good budget for this level - what else matters to us fans?

I've never said we are in debt!

I don't know whether we are or not, and I'd be surprised if you knew.

  14. 11 hours ago, RoyMac5 said:

Why do you say that? After admin bar the money for the two Poles we start at zero debt.

Do we know for a fact that we are not in debt to Clowes for what he paid to take the club out of administration?
