I’m massively impressed by how he spoke during the presser, sounds likeable, relatable, open and honest. Spoke in realistic and pragmatic terms about the club, the squad and the league, especially pleased to hear him address some of the public concerns raised around playing style (“when you have footballers you play football, athletes you play to their strengths, we’ve got footballers who will soon realise how good they are as athletes too” a bit paraphrased there ?) and his post match comments when we stayed up (it was an emotional moment for him as his mate was relegated).
I also admire his honesty about the Rosenior situation, more realism in that he acknowledged LR’s good work and talent but that it would have been unworkable for him to stay on the staff.
Most impressive for me though, was the conviction with which he spoke, he knows himself well, knows his team of staff and believes in what he has to say. There were times when LR spoke and said the right things, being so likeable I wanted to believe him, but the conviction was missing in his voice. Warne has that conviction which will hopefully help him succeed with the Rams. Interesting times ?

Leicester are pretty much the only club I really despise.
    So, I'm not sad.

I'm getting intrigued now, @Mostyn6, has this revealed your family you didn't know as they had already taken DNA tests and on the database somewhere?
Also, for everyone that has taken one, have you done it through more than one DNA site to make sure they line up and accurate?

The Bin Dipper fans will be going AWOL again soon enough.  What with them and Forest dreaming of 50k stadiums, why don’t the build one and ground share?

Not a metal fan generally but some stuff I can relate to.

What I really want to know, what do people see in Def Leppard?  I'm sure they can play their instruments to a high standard but what they play is terrible, at least from when I remember when they became popular back in the day.
Never understood it, but then I never understood the appeal of Meat Loaf either.

Yeah, no issue here at all, I'm happy to hear reasonable debate and contributions from oppo fans, just not the foaming hysterical nonsense that we get from Forest, Boro and Leeds and certain Bristol City fans.
I often check out opposition boards to see what their take was before we play and again after the game. We are all occasionally guilty of seeing things through Rams tinted specs so it's always interesting for example to see who opposition fans think was a threat and it's not always who you think, plus the 'best team to come to <insert random stadium> this year' comments are useful to put our performances in context.

I'm a bit disappointed in the reactions to @walkleyowl.
He's been on here for years, doesn't post on the wind up, and I've  enjoyed his input in that time.
He's the sort of opposition fan that should be welcomed on the forum.

    Yeah.
Nothing is taken care of. You leave the shopping center and it's such a ran down dump. Listed buildings left abandoned. And they add something they think it cool and modern and it's just pure ugly like the Quad or Velodrome or that stupid fountain.
They did the river gardens project with the bus station? Yeah. It's nothing. Nothing compliments the cultural heritage of Derby like stupid tin can buildings.
Everything outside the shopping center is being left for dead. They don't move the scum bags on that hang around. But i saw them moving a street singer on the other week. Yeah, he's the problem.
The Assembly rooms has been an eyesore forever. The good number of towering car parks give that Welcome to Coventry feel.
Derby does nothing to emphasise it's character. I directly goes against it.
In Alvaston they spent a fortune. Doing what? Introducing more traffic lights, changing a parking bit around so now it interferes with a bus stop and more lanes of traffic than it did before. And stuck some pieces of steel up with motivational quotes on (I think. I never see them)
There are nice parts of Derby. I'll agree with @Reggie Greenwoodon that. But they're left to ruin, age with no love shown their way.
The love all goes to great recycled tin can buildings. I heard them celebrating the Quad on Radio Derby once. Why? It's ugly. There's Saddlergate, Cathedral, all the Courthouse bit and the Market Hall to celebrate and give some love to. And they celebrate that. "The design is so unique". But it's ugly.
and that Velodrome. Oh my god. The giant Tuna can.
there's no sense of complimenting the area. Just bang up some glass and metal.
As rough as Notts is, it's better looking overall.

Ah, well, my in-laws live in Flitwick.
    Two things about it,
    1) They pronounce it Flittick. - Obviously I make the point to NOT pronounce it that way because I'm an arse.
    2) It's cheap to park at the train station and you can be in London in half an hour. Also, only about 1hr 20 mins drive from Derby so easy to do a cheap away day to Londres.

    I love it.
It's all about finesse.  Patience.  Skill.  A means to an end.  It's the thinking man's approach.  It involves movement, and gentle caressing.
I liken it very much to making love to a beautiful woman... although that usually doesn't involve a 6 yard box... obviously!   ?
