I'm not sure we've seen these players play some very good football. I can't remember when we were last a consistent goal threat, we have certainly kept the ball well over the last couple of years or so. We've not played exciting attacking football for some time now.

From what I've seen / heard from Paul Warne so far I like. He is telling us it is not good enough, which we can all see.
Although the football has not been great to watch I feel we are not as long ball as some people believe so I'm not buying into this total change of philosophy that people are eluding to.
We certainly move the ball faster and seem to use the channels more instead of waiting to work the ball out very wide every time. Subsequently we will be more of a threat, the away form already shows that.
I think good things are coming but it may be 18 months away yet due to us not being able to buy anyone. It's great to sit in Pride Park and know I can still come in 18 months time, maybe we might even have real ale / decent bottled beer at the ground by then ?

If we can't buy players I don't see how we can buy a manager either.

The problem we had last year, and it seems to me this year, is the system we play only seems to get one person in the box when we cross. This means a lack of goal threat, we need that fixing otherwise there is no point working the ball wide to get crosses in.

I thought we couldn't sack anyone without paying off their contract. So Rooney will surely only go if he quits or is wanted by another club.

That's what I don't get. What's the difference between paying rent to the current owners and paying rent to the council?

My friend has not long left of his life, He has terminal cancer and has maybe only weeks to live.  He had his first season ticket when he came out of the army in the mid fifties, and has had it every season since, and then when he married in 1963 his wife had one too, they never missed a home match, but then covid came along and they have not been again. We have a mutual friend who lives in the USA he is in the UK this week end and is taking my friend to what is likely to be his last match ever. I'm just hoping if there are any protests it wont affect the match. So please spare a thought or a prayer if your so minded on Saturday. I wont say his name as he hated social media as much as he loved the Rams. So UP THE RAMS  P will be thinking of you.
