The last two/three years were malicious, he absolutely knew what he was doing by not filing the accounts and using the HMRC as a credit facility.
Also, putting the club into administration but not the ground was calculated. 
No doubt he was out for himself in the end, otherwise he wouldn’t have left the club in such a state of health to protect his own assets. 
He goes down as one of the worst owners in English football league history, definitely our worst ever owner which includes the likes 3 Amigos and Robert Maxwell. Some doing, but neither of those brought us to the brink of death like Mel - albeit for not want of trying.

The only game i remember him struggling was when we asked him to play as a makeshift wingback... I'm excited to see what he can do in League 1. Not saying he's going to be our most critical player, but he's definitely shown enough to warrant more excitement than worry, going into this season.

I'd imagine it's harder for a rookie manager to take an existing, underperforming squad and turn them round, than it is to assemble a group from scratch to play into a preferred playing style. Liam has the rare opportunity to practically sign an entire team, and he can select players based on how he wants to play- for a new manager, that's an ideal scenario.
Tactically he should be sound, being the youngest coach to obtain the UEFA Pro badge. He's had 3 years of man management experience now also, and knows the club very well. Given we're likely working on a limited budget, there's enough there to say he's worth a shot imo.

Stats are amusing though. Without Roberts 1 point we'd have been relegated. ?

Think he's been a lot better at commanding etc since he had that long period out under Cocu, noticed when he came back into the side after Hamer was awful, Roos had bulked up a bit which helps in aerially as he doesn't get bullied about as much. He's also done well from corners multiple times this season, teams try and crowd him from corners but he manages to get punches away. 
Fans can't bring themselves to praise Roos no matter what he does and whenever anything slightly bad happens, they jump on his back, it's like early 19/20 all over again. Didn't see many comments about Allsop at the weekend for a weak wrist and poor positioning, but if that was Roos he'd have been crucified.

Yes, a team selection that was criticised beforehand for being resigned to a defeat ended up putting in a valiant display and earning us a hard-fought point. We were never going to outplay West Brom so being resolute defensively was our best bet at getting something from the game... Rooney takes a fair amount of credit for that.
