Eatonram got a reaction from Ken Tram in EFL appeal
    A view point.
It is clear that this is a complicated issue and open to interpretation of complex accountancy practices and confusing rules. An independent tribunal, with some expertise in the field, have studied this and found in the Club's favour. Another group of three independent "experts" look likely to reach the opposite conclusion. This in itself surely shows there is a level of doubt and definitely differing possible interpretations, both of the rules (which clearly lack clarity) and also what is acceptable accountancy practice within those rules.
Surely the doubt involved must be taken into account with the level of punishment? These are not "matters of Fact" they are "matters of opinion". If it was being heard as a criminal case it would not stand a chance of passing the "beyond all reasonable doubt" test. It isn't of course a criminal court case.
All I think we can reasonably hope for is that the punishment "fits the crime" and takes account of the doubt and interpretation issues, rather than the Club and it's supporters being made an example of to satisfy a despotic governing body.

Surely you cant allow your mates dog to crap in your garden and then kick off when you accidentally step in it.
The EFL signed this off as ok and just because Steve Gibson has kicked off and just because Parry clearly has a vendetta against Mel Morris, the club is wrongly being dragged through the mud.
    This really is so wrong.

I set the poll up but, that aside....
You are asking us to be proactive.... How? What about? We don't know anything. You claim that you do but won't tell us. So what do you expect us to do?
Write to Mel? Write to our MP?
Dear Sirs, I must protest in the strongest possible terms about something I don't know anything about.

Give him Mason Mount, Harry Wilson and Tomori & see what he could do - & also don't take over mid season when you are rock bottom of the league
He had a much worse deal than Lampard (or Cocu for that matter) & he has damaged his own reputation by giving it a go.
However, whether he'll eventually be a good manager remains to be seen. Just 1 point from our previous 6 games would have put us in a much stronger position right now

I get that and we’re a mess but I would argue that you have to look at everything.
No issue with anyone being critical but it has to be balanced.

Okay, posts that are critical of Mel Morris' tenure as owner are not taken down.
Posts which contain personal insults of Mel Morris are.
The same applies to other previous or future owners, players, other posters.
How difficult is it to grasp the difference? Quite difficult for some people judging by the number of posts we have taken down in the last twenty four hours.
If in any doubt please re-read the terms and conditions that you agreed to when you joined the message board. If you don't agree with them, you are welcome to find somewhere else to post your personal insults. I hear Twitter aren't too fussy!

Easter Monday 1975. Away to Burnley. For those that were there I need say no more about the significance of the result. A second championship in four years was almost in the bag.

Football club ownership is a lose/lose situation, doesn’t matter what they do, you’ve done it wrong.
They will be asked to sit in the corner, be quiet, just sign the cheques, but wait, why are they so quiet, we demand answers.
Cut back spending, be sensible, wait a minute we still want that £10m striker and £5m defender, and a £8m keeper....oh and don’t forget that £7m midfielder....but don’t you dare take us close to that FFP limit, no football club should be losing money.
Bored now, we need a new owner, anyone just get rid...wait not him, we don’t want him Jesus, but get rid asap.
Hold on, why’s this guy wanting to buy a second tier football club, I smell something fishy, what’s his intentions, why us, why not one of those football clubs that actually make money like erm...errrrrm....
Honestly, I could be the richest man in the world, sat in trillions in the bank account and I would never touch a football club, even Derby.
I could turn us into the next Man City and some would still have something to complain about, winning leagues, competing in Europe but yeah that David bloke what a @#%! for killing the atmosphere and turning us into a tourist fan club, all those fake fans over in Asia. I want to see us lose games, can’t remember the last time I saw us get a classic Derby tonking.
Now imagine football clubs owned by football fans, oh my, a group of Newcastle fans are looking to buy a stake in their club. Can already see the fall out there, desperate to get rid of Ashley they donate all they can, then Ant and Dec disagree over firing the manager, Cheryl Cole storms off wanting her £5.68 back as she thought one of the fans would be appointed manager.
Would not touch with a barge pole.

Not sure many of those were down to scouting. Wanchope came as a result of a video sent to Jim Smith by an agent. Ernie was an established international, as was Stimac and Asanovich. Smith already knew Poom as he had played at Portsmouth.

Surely a scouting network picks up a gem from Senegal or Scotland, a player no one has hardly heard of. AKA Brentford or Leicester with Vardy? Signing internationals hardly needs a scouting network, you need a TV.

Well I think anyone who works professionally in a field knows a lot more about it than a lay person. I'm going to see my dentist in a bit and I'm glad she knows a lot more about it than I do! I know football is a bit different, people have watched loads of it, played the game at a lower level and so on but I still think the analogy holds

...because Rotherham's strengths are a very good match for our weaknesses, and either we don't have the right players, or simply haven't figured out a way to combat that.
It reminds me of McClaren's 2013-2015 teams when a certain style of team could nullify us, and unless someone scored a 'worldie' (god I hate that term) we could draw a blank and throw it away at the other end with a defensive mistake. I wouldn't expect a rookie manager to do what an experienced one couldn't

    I didn’t say everyone thought that ?
I said a thread was created.
It wasn’t a pop at anybody’s beliefs or opinions, literally just pointing out what a bonkers season it is. 12 points separating 7th to 22nd doesn’t really rule anybody in those places out of the relegation battle.
