Don’t forget engineering works Manchester to Sheffield line blocked and Sheffield to Chesterfield signalling upgrade means some platforms are not available so travel from other areas could be affected.
Engineering work on the Hope Valley line will mean the EMR and XC services to and from Sheffield are diverting via Barrow Hill.
This will lead to these trains being retimed and as a result the Derby to Matlock trains have also had their times amended and a through route from Nottingham has had to be cancelled

I worked in West Bromwich in the late 90s and my biggest account was New Holland in the US. I'd been pushing to use email (I even had my own account, but had no business account) and couldn't make any headway. Then I got a fax from NH saying that all requests to tender much be provided via email from a certain date.
I walked into my sales director's office and waved it triumphantly in his face.
His response was, it's a fad, Tim. We're not getting email.
I can remember our I.T. department not wanting to repair our fax machine a few years ago saying it was not cost effective because we all should be using emails.
Anyway we won the day and it got repaired, two years later when a computer virus hit the company, no one was allowed to send any emails or use their computers.
The guy who had been previously been ridiculed for printing off all the company fax numbers and telephone numbers was in very popular demand.

First train in the morning goes direct from Derby no change at Birmingham change at Southampton
Departs 07.01 arrives 11:43 Fratton.Cheapest over night ticket with rail card/split ticket is £85. Only done a quick though.
Departs 10:54 Fratton to Derby 15:08 change at Southampton and Birmingham.
Correction first train departs Derby 07:13
With a lot of planning. Derby - Birmingham - Euston - Fratton for £53 might be possible.
Just need overnight accommodation.

Academic now, but no need to traverse London, just get the Manchester-Southampton Cross-Country service from Birmingham.

This needs regulating now. If the away supporters are unable to get home via train it shouldn't be allowed, simple as.
The only train back to derby after the match takes 8hrs 40min
On occasions I have slept overnight in European train stations waiting rooms but sure that’s not allowed anymore plus too old now need a comfy bed.

From 2024/25 to 2028/29, Sky Sports will broadcast a minimum of: 328 Sky Bet Championship matches; 248 Sky Bet League One matches
It’s about time SKY paid to charter trains and bus travel to compensate away fans for their stupid o’clock ko times.
Do you go to other games when you cant watch the Rams?
