You keep going on about stuff like this and I'm genuinely trying to give you chance to post, but I don't see any relevance regarding X/twitter. I part think I should remove it, and also don't want to dictate the content of the thread. But I don't get the relevance. Yes, the market for social media is full of firms that put profits ahead of their user base. What's that to do with Twitter?
Twitter/X is a social media platform that is being criticised in this thread so it’s only natural there has to be a comparison to other social media platforms to judge if these criticisms are justified or just a criticism of Elon Musk.
I was actually thinking of starting a new thread Elon Musk good or bad for humanity so any criticism against Elon Musk either in Twitter,SpaceX or EV threads could be moved by the mods so we can concentrate on the subject at hand.
I can start a thread if you think that would be beneficial?

No one is arguing that all the social media companies aren't terrible in their own way.
But only one of them has been taken over by an entitled billionaire man baby with the express intent of "making it better". Which is the exact topic of this thread.
If all someone has to offer to the debate is "Facebook is a bad too" then you wonder why they bother. I better they are a delight at dinner parties
Four of the largest school boards in Ontario Canada are taking social media to court because they are designed to be addictive disruptive and detrimental to young people’s mental health.
1. Meta/facebook/Instagram2. Snapchat
3. Tik Tok.
Thirty Three states in the US are also taking Meta to court.

From The Independent:
AOC skewers Elon Musk’s anti-immigrant stance with four-word tweet
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called out tech billionaire Elon Musk for a baseless anti-immigration post.
Responding to a post from Mr Musk that claimed Democrats want to “import voters,” the progressive New York lawmaker pointed out an undeniable fact in response on Thursday.
“You’re literally an immigrant,” Ms Ocasio-Cortez wrote on X. Mr Musk was born and raised in South Africa — he moved to Canada in 1988 before migrating to the US.
“And for everyone saying ‘yeah, but legal!!’ may I once again remind you that seeking asylum is legal, too,” the lawmaker continued.
AOC. I apologise
Musk. Nobody is perfect.
AOC. Body language, take me now Musk baby.
This will never grow old. 😂😂😂

The judge actually ruled that the case was a SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) - that's a legal action intended to censor, intimidate, and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of a legal defence until they abandon their criticism or opposition.
Not a good look for the "free speech absolutist"
Ironically the lawyers he used now risk being de-barred because part of the Bar rules in California are that you don't bring frivolous or malicious cases. Doubly so if Elton wants to try and appeal what was a pretty firm judgement
So Google or Meta are better than X 😂 😂

BBC News:
A US judge has thrown out a lawsuit brought by Elon Musk's social media firm X against a group that had claimed that hate speech had risen on the platform since the tech tycoon took over.
X had accused the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) of taking "unlawful" steps to access its data.
The US judge dismissed the case and said it was "evident" Mr Musk's X Corp did not like criticism.
X said it planned to appeal.
Imran Ahmed, founder and chief executive of CCDH, celebrated the win, saying Mr Musk had conducted a "loud, hypocritical campaign" of harassment and abuse against his organisation in an attempt to "avoid taking responsibility for his own decisions".

That's just Elon's stats, no? Can't tear himself away, the poor lad, he's on it 24/7!
In all seriousness though, is anything on Twitter (apart from Elon) that is actually alive, or is it just a gazillion pesky bots these days? As far as I can see, on the hot topics, it's just a bunch of folk 'debating' mostly AI generated 'engagement content', all blissfully unaware they're arguing with a software program. We were told that all the Blue Tick stuff was expressly intended to identify accounts actually owned by sentient beings and fund the rooting out of the bot farms, hence the verification fees charged to his loyal human users. What happened to that then?
Sadly for Elon and his followers, advertisers won't be fooled anyway, as they already had compelling reasons for jumping ship and won't return until Twitter is in new ownership.
Stats don’t align with your hopes and aspirations?
X overrun by bots and AI?
Advertisers flocking to an ever diminishing audience think again.

During covid lockdown I watched a YouTube video about Haiti and was really shocked at the deprivation the people suffered in this country.
Even more shocking was the MSM ignorance.
Anyway bizarrely about the same time this thread was started I watch a fantastic YouTube video about Haiti which explained everything that has gone wrong with the country over the last few hundred years.
Do not just look at the video read the comment section very informative from many different people.
Twice as many African slaves were taken to Haiti than the USA.
70% of all the trees in Haiti have gone it will end up being wasteland.
Its an earthquake and Hurricane disaster area just waiting to happen so no foreign investors.

He did the Lemon interview because he wanted to try and expand Twitter into a broadcast video platform. Lemon was fired from CNN for making controversial "unwoke" comments about women, so Musk clearly saw him as prime candidate to entice his anti-woke fanboys
Didn't really go as planned 😂
Lemon shows going downhill fast

What is the difference between crypto coins and tokens?
Solana has risen about 400 % in the last year mainly because tokens can be easily released by using Solana?
I have seen a lot crap about the tokens on Solana which I really want to avoid.
https://mashable.com/article/racist-antisemitic-memecoins-solana-blockchain-cryptocurrency
Why don’t people create their own crypto coin instead of creating a tokens on Solana? Is this why Bitcoin is different to alt coins apart from proof of stake.?

Bearing in mind after some games the majority were saying he wasn't good enough and they wanted a change, its amazing how quickly the mood changes for me!
Also - even the biggest Warne supporter would struggle to say we keep emphatically putting the opposition to the sword either.
It's a tough watch at times, lots of tight games, plenty of energy and heart but free flowing football rarely seen in both halves. Strong defenders, soaking up pressure, quick breaks down the wing and moments of quality are often what we are working towards.
Somehow we are clear in 2nd without it really feeling like we have played 'that' well many times.
Functional, hard working, content to win by the odd goal... the whole season feels slightly characterised as going to be 'who cares about the performance, just get the points'...
But we knew that before he started and he's done it before and its no fluke.
And he's 7 games away from becoming a Derby legend.
Derby legend when we are promoted Forest get relegated and we beat them 1st game.

It's at this point that it becomes clear it's a total cult. Do they even hear the words they are saying??
If you resisting something you are feeding it.
Any energy you are fighting you are feeding it.
If you are pushing something away you are inviting it to stay forever.
If you have no alternative you are just playing devils advocate.
If you criticise everything you will never create anything.

That’s a great reply thanks for the time and effort.
Still invested in KR1 who should be invested in quality alt coins they are founders in the crypto space.
Its trades at a 30% discount to its NAV
What I like about proof of stake is the guaranteed revenue it generates every year.
This could become a takeover target in the future as I expect investment companies will eventually want to start this sort of fund.
