Whilst I entirely agree I think it best that @B4ev6isdiscovers where Macklin Street is in Derby before venturing off down the Champs-Élysées or New York’s Broadway.

I am off to the vets tomorrow with our little dog, had her 13 years and unfortunately she isn’t very well at all and I think the vet is going to call and end to It… gutted, absolutely gutted but she isn’t eating anything and is just vomiting all the time….
She is the thickest dog I have ever know, knows no tricks, has zero loyalty, isn’t snuggly at all, is blatantly disobedient, has always peed and poo in the house every couple of months for no reason, eats anything she finds, dead or alive, rolls in anything horrible outside, drinks the dirtiest puddle water, will get covered in mud and dirt on any walk, hates going in the bath and has the stinkiest breath ever…. Going to miss her so so much.

Based on the restrictions on us when he signed and his willingness to sign in that position, i think he is underrated and an excellent signing. We were hardly going to get Messi

What do you suggest he do?
Forget, for a moment, how we got here. How do we move forwards?
Cannot sell a club that nobody wants to buy.
Do we take the EFL points deduction to get them off our backs? Will likely mean relegation.
    Go into administration? Calamatous.
Open a honest communication with the fans in which he declares: "we're in the poo poo". That'll attract season ticket sales and potential buyers.
So it's all very good demanding action from Mel .... But what exactly?

Last night we went out for a meal with my in-laws (or the out-laws as we know them!). I've not seen my 'Ma and Pa' since 'Pa' had his lung operation in May despite them only living 20 minutes away as they stayed away from any chance of infection. It was wonderful to hug both of them! We have kept in contact via the phone but nothing beats a hug!! We had a delicious meal, (Sea bass in tarragon sauce) but the precious thing about the evening was the chance to chat face to face, to laugh and tease. It was a warm evening so when we got back to ours we had coffee on the patio and I lit 3 candles and we just talked idly about this and that in the candlelight and for a few hours it felt as if all was right with the world...

Its never enough though is it?  And things are getting worse at an ever increasing rate.
Since before the beginning of the pandemic I have found myself increasingly at odds with a lot of 'stuff' thats going on.  Mainstream media and social media are both fueling and driving division to such a degree that they see hate almost everywhere - stuff that I just don't see in my everyday life, so I've started to detach.
My Sky subscription (of approx 30 years) ends at the end of the month and my TV licence will follow.  Other than here I have very little social media presence and have cancelled all my news subscriptions/follows etc.
The world is going bonkers and this is just another example.  Is there really any reason to dig up nearly decade old tweets made by a teenager to punish him as a man?  Its time to drop out, walk my dogs, spend time with my family and live in a reality that is worlds away from the biased hateful crap force fed to you by the media all the time.

Not had hedgehogs in garden for years. A couple have made their home this year though. They drink a lot of water so I always put a fresh saucer out with food. Cheeky mouse sometimes joins them!

Is that supposed to make anyone feel better? I am old school. Pay your debts as they fall due. So many posters are getting worked up about P&S calculations and amortisation. Bugger all that. Morris has run up debts in the name of Derby County - HMRC, Cocu, Keogh, now some transfer fees. Pay people what they are owed.

Off to North Wales in a cottage for a week on the 11th September.
The weather is looking grim but, having not had a holiday for three years now (my wife and I realised recently that, apart from one night in hospital each after operations, neither of us have spent a night away from home since June 2018) and after a particularly bad year on the personal front, I’m just grateful to get away.

Well there can be many surprised that we are still steadfast in UMBONGO. The one good thing is we didn’t lose anyone last minute, in all honesty the squad couldn’t handle anyone leaving as it’s paper thin already.
Let’s see what we can do with a very young and vulnerable squad, you never know the EFL to their absolute disgust may have inadvertently done DCFC a favour ?????

We've made better signings for free this window than we have paying over inflated fees for absolute rubbish in recent seasons. Morrison is 100 times better than some of the signings we've made in the same position in the last 5 seasons

    I’ll go:-
when I was ignorant, and lacking the intelligence I think I’ve now got, I’ve racially abused people, I’ve been homophobic, I’ve discriminated against the disabled and mentally ill/challenged and been sexist. In fact, I doubt there’s an “ism” I haven’t tinkered with and I doubt there’s an “ist” I haven’t behaved like (in discriminatory terms obviously). Then my exposure to the real world expanded, my horizons broadened, my empathy and humanity bloomed and I grew up..
in spite of all the despicable behaviour and things I said, I never once felt hatred though. Looking back, it was an attention seeking thing, to make others laugh, or to show off or fit in.

To add, that’s no excuse. I still find myself in moments of shame thinking back, but my social circles have been reinvented and my environment changed, the standard of people I socialise with massively improved.

Thanks, when we first moved in it had a huuuuuuge lawn.  I thought there is no way I'm mowing that every week lol, so cornered a section off and bought a few chickens ?.  Since then that area has grown and now have approx 25 chickens and 20 quails - we supply half the street with cheap eggs!
Over the past few years we have relaid the patio, created a nice lawn and sectioned off another 'allotment' area.  The bottom bit of the garden was always a problem area though that we never knew what to do with.  Then following the death of our first dog a few years ago the Vets kindly sent us a condolence card containing wildlife seeds to plant and remember her by that we hung onto - that along with watching numerous episodes of 'Garden Rescue' last year was all the inspiration I needed to get creative!  Although it is surprising how much it costs to make it look natural lol...
I'm trying to encourage bee's as well, I am very tempted to get an Omlet Bee Hive - I noticed they has started doing them a while back whilst shopping for a bigger chicken coop.

Your garden sounds wonderful, @maxjam! Hedgehogs are so endangered now and they need all the help we can give them. We have had our hedgehog house down for 2 years with no visitors so it was so wonderful today to see one inside! Hope you get to see one very soon. My husband, Steve, works in Moorland restoration in the Peak District and so we try to garden organically, be 'bee friendly'  and do all we can to encourage wildlife to our garden. All the best for your nature garden!!

HI, @Beetroot! Thanks for your post! Hedgehogs are in so much in decline at present that they need all the help they can get. They used to travel through loads of gardens at night, sometimes by up to a mile but now that we have replaced hedges with fences they can't travel as they once did. The population has declined drastically recently and they need all the help they can get at present. Glad you can help! X

We've got a very large garden and recently turned the bottom part of it over to nature, put a few hedgehog houses down and natural pond etc.  Not seen any evidence of anything yet but its only been there since March, I'm hoping this winter I might be able to attract some wildlife with food n shelter etc.
    Gratz on your babies!

We have had a hedgehog house in our garden for the last two years and today there was a hedgehog curled up inside. So excited! I could see a little bristly bottom just inside the door! Will feed it appropriate food and give water and encourage it to have lots of babies in our garden. So excited by this discovery!
