I never thought about writing of the current teams capabilities but am thinking that it is time to say that we are just no good.
And where has the pride gone in this team,do we not play at "Pride Park"anymore

Happy to report that both my wife and big sister arrived home safe and unharmed from their voluntary stint on the Poppy Stall in Derbion on Tuesday!
What is the world coming to?
Alleged attacks on a 78 year old volunteer in Edinburgh.
Poppy sellers "feeling nervous" being surrounded by mobs of "Protesters" at Charring Cross.
The Rochdale Cenotaph being daubed with "Political Graffiti".
The sanctity of The London Cenotaph at high risk for this coming weekend.
I get some don't agree with what The Poppy symbolises and represents.  I get that.  Each to their own.  But to actively go out of their way to threaten Poppy Sellers (All of whom are volunteers, and many of whom are "elderly") and/or wearers, is the scummiest of the scum in my book.
I'll be adding extra pride to my stance at 11am at The NMA on Sunday, after doing similar at The Camp Bastion Wall Memorial, as we mark our remembrance and respect to one known fallen hero in particular, on our son's behalf (as he's away clearing landmines in Ukraine, so can't attend in person).
I'll be arriving earlier than usual for the match tomorrow, to join in the (assumed?) pre-KO remembrance.
And I'll be wearing my nice new shiny 2023 lapel poppy alongside a few older ones over the coming days... f*** em, I say!
    Lest we forget

I don't understand your West Bank remark.
Meanwhile, Hamas went into Israel and slaughtered 1400 people in cold blood, Babies beheaded. Many people with their hands tied, then burnt alive. Plenty just mown down with gunfire. Deliberate, merciless, gruesome acts beyond anything ever seen in my lifetime. Also kidnapping 200 children and elderly to then use and abuse as human shields.
Israel has demonstrated it can no longer protect its citizens, meaning Hamas can and will come and do the same again next month, or next year. Perhaps even worse. Not only does Israel have to try to rescue its hostages, it has decided in a way its difficult to argue, that the only way to keep its citizens safe is to wipe out Hamas. Before the stated Hamas aim of wiping out Israel. You can't negotiate with an enemy who simply wants you dead. Israel is fighting for the right to exist. None of this would have happened without the Hamas attack, effectively a declaration of war, and clearly Hamas would have expected Israeli retribution in this way, perhaps even worse. It's what Hamas wanted to trigger.
It's horrific to see the many decent Palestinians who are horribly caught in the middle, and there should be avenues out. It's notable that most of the Arab governments don't want to take anyone because they're concerned they're bringing Hamas terrorists into their countries. And, yes, in jest you are right as to an extent what Israel believes it is doing is trying to save itself and the world from terrorism. Yet this war will be a disaster for all concerned, including Israel and its army, with Hamas dug in, lying in wait. Many, many, many thousands more will die and it's horrific and I mourn every one.
But none of this should mean people can't be shown pictures of kidnapped, terrified children who are hostages of brutal murderers. For  fear of antagonizing a mob. Shame on the police and the mob.

I'm trying very hard to see things from a neutral perspective - the entire area has been a hornet's nest since before I was born - a long time before that in fact - from the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire at the end of the First World War.
I don't think there is a solution in the true sense of the word that hasn't already been tried.

I knew starting a thread would be controversial and probably end with me banned so I didn't. But Hamas are not the Palestinian people. Many in Gaza are trapped in every possible way a person can be trapped.
Hamas deserved everything they'll get and more. Iranian funded terrorists who don't care about Palestine as much as they care about destroying Israel. They don't have the interest of Palestine in their minds. However, they have driven out the pathetic infighting Palestinian attempts at authority so you can see why recruiting angry young men is easy work for them.
But the wider war. Well, invasion. Occupation is by America's dog. Netenyahu probably cracked one off when he heard about that terrorist attack on innocent Israelis.
They don't need any excuse to build illegal settlements in West Bank. They don't need any excuses to expand their borders for 70 years. They just mutter something about biblical age and swallow more land.
Now they have something of an excuse to starve and squeeze Gaza. To drop bombs on civilians. They're not terrorists though. Just defending themselves.
Very reasonable to cut off the legs of the people of Gaza and then tell them to run. Where? No their problem. Just run before they come and steal more land. Or spend those American dollars by killing Palestinian children to right Hamas' wrong.
Tbf they did pull out the bible to explain why it's rightfully their land. And the native (lol) Americans support it with billions of dollars.

Nothing will give me greater pleasure today than finding out that this man has lost his job, will get a football banning order and will soon be sentenced after pleading guilty.
It's about time more people realise that actions have consequences.
At the same time, massive kudos to the regular Sheffield Wednesday supporters who have now raised over £18,000 for the Bradley Lowery Foundation after being appalled by the idiotic behaviour of one fan.

Last sentence is everything here - Ched Evans case was appallingly handled and morals and the law overlapped. Was he a twonk in how he acted? No. Was he a rapist? Well, finally, it was shown he wasn't.
We have a significant challenge of trial by media in this country, our 'red top' press is a bit of a joke worldwide but it is the mainstream media, including those funded by significantly influencers such as Rupert Murdoch. Social media muddies the waters even further. It feels like we now live in a society where the courts are not really the people doing the convicting - couple that with expensive lawyers who can get stone clad cases thrown out on technicalities, plus a judicial system that is one of the public services that has been run into the ground in the last twenty years (don't forget, judges were on strike recently) and it offers a grim view of how cases like these will be handled as we go forward. That is what some of the people who are claiming to support Brand are saying and I do agree it is a challenge. And it can be said without that meaning I support or condone, even have an ounce of consideration for, Russell Brand.
Sadly, we didn't learn from the Saville case in this manner. His ability to use his celebrity to influence or direct from within. For someone like Russell Brand it is two sides of the same coin - he might not be writing letters to Prince Charles but he is using his influence to carry out his wishes. I don't think any of these people are evil, wanting to harm in the way a serial killer or psycopath would. But I do think they believe that their status gives them entitlement to behaving in a way that they only need to consider their own needs, they are somehow a level above (no pun intended) their victims. From my view, Prince Andrew clearly fell into this bracket.

Womens football teams need to be fit on the field,to run and run and more run
At the world cup on Sunday most of the English girls looked unfit, carrying to much weight, compare them with the Spanish team,Spains girls looked "lean and mean"
So team managers look at their girls diet, nutricion, and training routine, and make more use of the scales, slim them down

Apart from Ward, all players brought in by Warne don’t seem to be at the required standard.
Signing players like Washington, who has always been bang average at best. Then wondering why we look poor in attack.

Strikes as no ambition, as he’s used to at Rotherham

Fozzy has been a great servant to the club, but surely shouldn’t be starting LWB at his age ?
The type of football we are playing is terrible to watch. Also unsure of what we are trying to actually do ?
Also signing old non mobile players then saying in interviews we need pace?

can’t see Warne lasting long if we continue to play as we are.
Darren Moore was at last nights game. Would take him for Warne in a heartbeat. As he understands the expectations of the club

I have the same problem with a mag box, found that by raising mag box off whatever it is sitting on,so air can circulate, and by having a small electric/battery fan next to mag box with air circulating over  the box the overheating problem is overcome.Hope this helps
