Fair point wolfie and the answer is I don't. We are already seeing some tokens bouncing however so as with all investments / trades, one simply has to make a margin call. I'm going to be buying this evening in any case, so I'm putting my money where my mouth is. If I end up looking a fool, it won't be the first time, or the last, I'm sure, but I'm playing with 'winnings' now so it's a different conundrum to that faced by folk contemplating getting involved for the first time.

Absolutely. Not crypto, but I've just plucked up the courage to open my Plum app & see how my ISA investments are getting on & it's about as I expected. My "balanced bundle" is down about 5% in the last 6 months but my "Tech giants" pot has lost over 20% in that time.

So you're not the only one hoping we're at the bottom of the wave, my friend.

Crypto values run in waves. You buy cheap, dump when the market starts to turn taking your profits and re-invest when the market bottoms out again. Broadly speaking, it's the same as with the stockmarket but far more volatile / exagerated which means that anyone trading crypto needs to checking ADA values very regularly.

This isn't the death of crypto that sceptics have been forecasting forever, it's just the bottom of the wave and folk are still making big money and will continue to do so. We've seen it before and we'll see it again. That said, folk thinking that they can manage their crypto portfolio in the same way that they would blue chip investments will probably have shat their beds by now.

But you can only know that in hindsight. How do you know we're not just half way down the current wave?. Or worse.

The world (and markets) aren't exactly in a "normal" place right now

The Europeans have odd taste in music. If we think it’s quite good, it tends to get nil points. If we think it’s cheesy crap, it tends to do really well.

i always find it odd, as the brits are clearly, historically, the best producers of music in the world. The country of the Beatles, the stones, oasis, the who and queen.

but I get the impression that even if any of those bands entered Eurovision, they’d still lose.

It's true that continental "europop" is a thing and tends to do well but our biggest failing is that the UK usually have an act that nobody has heard of, with a song that hardly anyone has heard until the week of competition. Most of the competiton acts are normally hugely popular across Europe already - even if the UK don't know them.

Entering Eurovision is quite a cool thing in most countries. Established UK acts, however, don't want to touch it.

We've clearly tried to do better this year, with a bloke who's apparently massive on TikTok - which is why we're now one of the favourites.

With the huge gay following of Eurovision, I often think that if we were serious about winning it, then we should twist the arms of someone like Erasure banging out one of their pop tunes. Or maybe the Pet Shop Boys & Marc Almond collaboration.

  4. - Grandad’s Team - Died before I was born but Derby would be my guess
    - Dad’s Team - Derby
    - Mum’s Team - Derby

    - Everyone at your school's Team - Probably Man Utd back then. At my daughter's school now it's Forest

    - Your local Team now - According to t'internet: Lincoln, Mansfield and Forest are all pretty much the same distance from me

    - Your kids Team(s) - Derby

    Thanks tor your sterling work.

Just a suggestion - all entries made within an hour of kickoff to be void?

I was about to ask why and then realised I would have gained a few points if that rule was in place. Several times this season I've decided to leave it until the team is announced......and then forgotten to do it.

Cant argue that our forwards have let us down but i bet hes lost possession more than anyone aswell when theres been better options.

If we can keep current squad and just get 2 decent strikers we'll be flying

I hope you mean due to our general lack of firepower due to embargoes etc, rather than any individual failures of kids or those past their best-before date.

Totally agree with the last bit, though.

    Is this article a joke?

And were they as strict when that kid ran on wanting a selfie with Rooney at our game?

It would be utterly hilarious if this came to pass, though. Even add a sanction from the EFL for the club failing to control their fans as well.

We've been watching Stay Close (Netflix) over the weekend.

I used to read a few Harlan Coben books on past holidays, so was curious about this adaptation.

Unrealistic if not utterly bonkers in many ways but have to admit it's an entertaining watch.

Just finished another good Harlan Coben one on Netflix: Safe
