ScubaRam got a reaction from The Key Club King in Protest against the right people
Personally I don't see what the EFL has done wrong. It has been Derby who decided to do their accounts different to all of the other clubs. It is a situation that we have brought upon ourselves through trying to be too clever.
Where we are at currently, again, I'm not sure what the EFL can do differently. They want Derby to agree a punishment so neither of them has to go through the courts again which will take even longer. We are in conversation with them rather than flat out denying there should be any punishment, so were guilty of something. With the business plan, I'm of the view that the EFL actually have our interests at heart. We have a football club that is haemorrhaging money with a owner who wants out. EFL want to a plan created where we don't go down the toilet, I guess they can't take Mel at his word.
Like everyone I want this over as quickly as possible, but I'm of the view that we've brought this upon ourselves. I'd quite like a club in the football league to take my kid to next season when hes old enough.

Genuine question - what possible benefit would the EFL gain out of putting clubs out of business to directly quote you

We’ll find out what t he crime is in due course - with both the EFL and DCFC being tight lipped over the process it’s just guess work. I think most of us can agree we’re not a well ran club at this moment in time.

I'm upbeat with how we are playing and we've given ourselves a good platform to push ourselves off on. That being said, I don't want to get too confident. Our first 11 isn't a relegation fighting team in my opinion. The problem is that we don't have any replacements should one or two of them get injured for a few weeks - which they will. Its a squad game, and I still worry this will limit our progress within the league going forward. Good start, yes. I'm still worried though. ?

ScubaRam reacted to OohMartWright in Accounts Submission Date Extension
Although I’m a Chartered Accountant by profession, I don’t claim to know loads about the FFP rules. However, a waiver of indebtedness is not normally a capital gain as there is no disposal of any asset. In substance, it is effectively a gift from whoever waives the loan, and therefore income. On the point of the FFP rules being based on EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxation, Depreciation and Amortisation), others may know better and I stand to be corrected but that seems unlikely to me as our ongoing issue with the EFL is all about our amortisation policy.

ScubaRam got a reaction from Pearl Ram in Derby County vs Middlesbrough
Huds, Peterborough and Hull are all expected to be around the bottom come the end of the season so I think this will be a good test of where we at. Its getting a win/draw, or even just competing fairly well against them that'll give me confidence that we might just survive the drop this year. Heres to hoping.

ScubaRam got a reaction from RAM1966 in Takeover Update
Its a messy situation. I don't think I blame the EFL for these embargos, and whatismore, actually think they are actually helping Derby. Yes its far from ideal that we can't sign players and have a threadbare squad, but when we owe money, and not paying that money back, to every man and his dog, why would we be allowed to start building up new debts in additional players wages?
I've been going to watch Derby for the last 20 years. My bar is so low that I've accepted relegation and would rather just have a fairly stable club that is able to start the league next season.

He's got a right to moan though, surely?
Something that's always been available has been removed without notice, and any reasonable person may assume the service would still be running seeing as the club made a discount for the Roadrider one of the perks of membership?
