timmo reacted to downsouth in B4 - for ever a Ram 🐏
Pompey fan, in peace. I read (a lot) and posted (a little) when you were having issues with the ownership.
I just wanted to pass on my belated condolences for B4's passing - as an outsider it was clear how much he cared about your club. It's lovely to see how much warmth he commands and how he's being remembered.
I'm sure it doesn't need explaining that I hope my club gets up, but having read some of this thread I hope you manage to make it up with us. It's also a great reminder that football clubs are all about the people who support them. Raising a glass to Daniel this evening.

Why are people preferring Ward over Wilson at RB? Neither are defensively amazing but Wilson has looked more solid there to my eyes (and gives away less penalties).
Playing Wilson at fullback gives him the space to use his greatest strength- progressive dribbling, whilst Ward as a winger would still be able to utilise his crossing. Given that Wilson sometimes lacks end product, this way round seems more sensible to me?

Collins was about 3 yards off side, is the reason he didnt pass

Why are several of you talking about the refs decisions? Both goals were STONE WALL fouls , not arguable in any way , we gave them the goals not the ref for once

I was so pleased when he left. Hated the points squandered by his poor finishing. At the death he had one good game for us, but for me it's not enough. Nowhere near. I don't get the calls to bring failed players back so they can fail for us again. I'd hope we could find someone better.

Oh give over, Rosenior wasn't hard done by.
We haven’t won away or scored a goal all season. If that was a new manager that had come in at the start of the season, he would be questioned whether he was going to come good.
Liam was interim for a reason. He was stop gap until somebody with more experience if this league became available.
Theres absolutely no comparison between LR and PW - one has been there and done it and the other one couldn’t win away from home for love nor money.

Agree with this. The only thing Mr Maguire cares about is Mr Maguire. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, he is basically Mr Ploppy from Bristol, but with a degree, a fancy (made-up) job title and a podcast (who doesn't?).

Good post apart from that mention of Kieran Maguire. He went out of his way to destroy us by picking on one minor accounting detail that the EFL had said was ok. The bloke is an utter Bamford of the highest order. He will be devastated that we have survived.

Sam Rush was the highest paid CEO in the championship, and Mel trusted him and his knowledge and experience in football to run the club, sadley he let him down, buying 8 or 10( could be more) sub standard players on 4 or 5 year contracts on £20,000 a week wages make no mistake Mel made a total mess of the club however Rush was not far behind.
Rush players what have they gone on to achieve since leaving Derby?

Maybe he should sign up on here and ask for permission before he does anything!
He can go about it in any way he likes as long as he is true to his words if he does take over the club.

For those old enough to remember when we were in the same poo in the 80"s the club ran a Lifeline raffle.
Not sure if it was weekly or just Matchdays but something like that could raise revenue. Sell 15000 tickets at 1 pound each. Its not a lot but the administrator said every bit helps
2 games a month gives you 30k

It's a no brainer, no printing costs almost 100% revenue. I'd certainly buy a couple
