    Hi all,
I just wanted to pop on and say congrats on a successful season and well deserved promotion. I know there's been some ill feeling between fans, mostly on the toxic social media platforms (not helped by a large number of idiots of which we at Bolton have f****** loads). I've scanned through your forum and a few others to regularly to check in on the thoughts of some of our promotion rivals over the season and as forums go, this one is generally positive and full of good and honest opinions. We have another fan called Wanderlust who often peruses the various forums and I feel he is a good fan for honest opinions too. I hope we can join you, I'm sure there's plenty of you hoping we stumble and end up stuck in L1 for at least another year, mainly for the fans who've been making stupid excuses for us not winning points this season. Reality is, you and Pompey were the most consistent teams over the season and thoroughly deserve your promotion, so well done and good luck in the championship next year. With your stadium and fanbase and what your fans have been through (trust me, I know what it feels like too), you deserve some good times now!

All the best gents (and ladies)

Sadly this will be my last match today. My first was in 1956 as a 13year old, My dad used to take me before that but he stopped going when we went down to the third division north. My mate and I would catch the 12 oclock bus from Melbourne and be the first in the ground. We stood in the Normanton end pigeon loft, I think it was 3 shilling. To this day I remember that team. We were champions in 1957 and I ran onto the pitch after the last match against Southport, Ray Straw scored 37 goals that season, The next ten years saw me start work, get married and have two children, I had moved to Derby, and after my family, the Rams were the most important thing in my life I never missed a home game in those ten years even though we were only an average second division side. And then in 1966 after England won the world cup my mate and I decided to have a season ticket, Little did we know what would happen that season, I was at work one day and a Rams supporting work mate told me we had signed a player from Bradford Park Avenue, his name was Kevin Hector I'd never heard of him but he was without doubt the most wonderful footballer to grace the Baseball Ground I had ever seen, and because of this we wanted to see more players like him which led to Tim Ward getting the sack and BC becoming Manager, what followed was ten years of unbelievable success and enjoyment. And then things started to go wrong off and on the pitch and I stopped being a season ticket holder during Peter Taylors time as manager, i still loved The Rams of course and when I turned 65 and retired my old mate from Melbourne and I bought season tickets again. But sadly covid left my best friend of 80 years with a dementia problem and he know no longer knows me. For the last two seasons I have been going alone to the match but its just not the same for me. Therefore I am calling it a day, as I write this I am welling up as I will do this afternoon. Thank you Derby County for every thing I will love you till I die.

Well done on your win and putting things back in your own hands.  I thought we were fortunate at times today, for some reason our early goal seemed to send us in to our shell; Bolton have some decent footballers, who exploited that for the rest of the first half and we were lucky not to go in behind.  Second half a bit more even.
All the best for the run in - as I've said elsewhere I'm hoping we'll both end up in the automatic slots now; but I do think you're probably at the stage where you can't afford any slip ups in the last couple of games.
I've just poured a large glass of red. Enjoy your evenings, Rams.

I've got mixed emotions about the final, if Brown plays.
Naturally, I want him to play well, score at Wembley, but Moors are my local team and I play for their walking football teams. Providing we can rearrange a cup game on that day, we'll be taking a coach down.

Probably the best away support I’ve seen at Fratton park this season. Draw was probably a fair result and I’d have taken that if you offered it to me before the game.

Safe journey back gents if you’re heading back tonight. I have a four hour plus drive to Norfolk now 🤣🙊.

Can’t you see from the majority of replies to your posts that I’m not alone in thinking you’re on the wind up.
Let’s say you’re not, you seem to then be missing the sentiment from others that not everyone is on board with your suggestions.
I do think the squad will need some additions in the summer, plenty of them, I don’t however think they exclusively have to come from Rangers, Celtic or the Scottish national set up.
The likelihood is we could well add players from that area, we’ll also likely pick up some players from the championship, league one, league two, the premier league academy system, the Irish leagues etc.

I’m all for a good suggestion thread, love it in fact, but normally at a point closer to the business end of the season and normally with a bit more variety, consideration, and conversation involved than your current approach appears to include. You’re coming across as a fanatic of that league, those players and almost as if you’re due some commission if any of them signed with us, and given that none of us (that I know of) are the Derby County manager, recruitment staff, or CEO it’s a bit misplaced.
You crack on though, I’ve added my thoughts.

You may be having some difficulty determining the difference between a statement of fact and criticism, even though the criticism may have a founding in truth.
Let me try to make things clearer.
Factual statement: "I've not read many comments from kevinhectoring lately."
Criticism: "I've not read many comments from kevinhectoring lately because, frankly, nothing he posts is ever worth reading so I either skip over them or stick pins in my eyes."

    Barkhuizen      Gayle           NML

                 Smith              Adams
    Elder       Cashin        Nelson    Nyambe
                             Wildsmith

    Assus collapsus.
Brainless football from the boys tonight. Long ball, no plan and with too many underperforming.
Three wingers on the pitch at the end.
Bradley, as captain, aimlessly punting balls forward.
The penalty was abysmal. Wildsmith should be fined a week’s wages. Something has happened with that lad. He got dropped and has looked all over the place in the past few games.
Thought Korey Smith was okay and Cashin and Nelson were generally good. Losing Nyambe was a big blow as he was solid.
    The rest was dire.

    Dear All,
Thank you for the kind comments about our very active West Country Supporters Branch under the thread ‘Hereford Rams’ recently! In our 30th Anniversary Year we are trying to re-connect with many of the fans who have used the West Country Branch over the years and who we have lost touch with. Our members cover, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Bristol, Somerset, Glos,Herefordshire, Worcs, Oxfordshire and parts of the West Midlands.

We are already well known by many of you on here. I have been a Season a ticket holder since 1980/1 and set up dcscwcb in 1994 also taking on the role of the first independent Chair of the Derby County National Supporters Clubs in November 1995 for 1 year.
Currently dcscwcb organises subsidised (we have a long running lottery which supppirts this) travel for Rams fans for every 1st Team League match at Pride Park as well as producing a newsletter ‘West Country Ram’. Anyone interested in full details please pm me!

For Saturday home games we stop at the Clock Warehouse, Shardlow and also pick up from there and drop back after the game.
We arrive and depart by Pride Park by the other Branch/independent coaches.
    Prices:
    Wychbold: £22.50 Adult /£12.50 U16 or Student
    Solihull: £19.50 Adult / £11.00 U16 or Student
    Clock Warehouse, Shardlow  £4.50/£2.50
We are a family orientated Group with a strict no alcohol on coach policy, but have a great day out with fans across the West Country/South West using us on a results basis or just occasionally to break the monotony of long distance trips to Pride Park. We recognise that our Group and the format of our trip (with stopping en route and encouraging family groups) is not for everyone but it has worked well for us over the years.
We ask that fans using the coach more than once sign up to Branch Memebership which costs from as little as £10.00.
Although we have around 250 active members across the Region we do not organise away coaches but wherever possible arrange ‘meet ups’ before Away games- the next one being Exeter City on Tuesday 13 February which already has great support from fans in and around Devon.
Get in touch by pm or email derbycountytravel@gmail.com and I will send you full details.
Finally, we often get asked if we will arrange travel from further South. If numbers justified it, we would certainly consider running from Cheltenham/Gloucester. Please let any Rams fans in the West Country/South West know about us!
Happy New Year to all DCFCFANS! COYR!
