First and foremost, my thoughts are with Daniel's friends and family, I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
I heard the news last night and it came as a huge shock, B4 as we knew him so fondly by will be a huge loss to the forum.
He was Mr Positivity, Derby County's biggest cheerleader, even during the bad times his positivity would shine through.
I know his Dad was at the game today with a scarf on his seat, whilst we haven't closed the gap on Portsmouth in Daniel's final rallying call on this forum, I'm sure he will be over the moon with the 3 goals and 3 points today.
DCFC Fans will be honouring Daniel in time to ensure he remains in our memories, we will also be contacting the club in due course to see what can be done during a game.
Suggestions are welcomed as we all come to terms with the loss.
    Rest in peace Daniel. ❤️🐏

I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

Happy to report that both my wife and big sister arrived home safe and unharmed from their voluntary stint on the Poppy Stall in Derbion on Tuesday!
What is the world coming to?
Alleged attacks on a 78 year old volunteer in Edinburgh.
Poppy sellers "feeling nervous" being surrounded by mobs of "Protesters" at Charring Cross.
The Rochdale Cenotaph being daubed with "Political Graffiti".
The sanctity of The London Cenotaph at high risk for this coming weekend.
I get some don't agree with what The Poppy symbolises and represents.  I get that.  Each to their own.  But to actively go out of their way to threaten Poppy Sellers (All of whom are volunteers, and many of whom are "elderly") and/or wearers, is the scummiest of the scum in my book.
I'll be adding extra pride to my stance at 11am at The NMA on Sunday, after doing similar at The Camp Bastion Wall Memorial, as we mark our remembrance and respect to one known fallen hero in particular, on our son's behalf (as he's away clearing landmines in Ukraine, so can't attend in person).
I'll be arriving earlier than usual for the match tomorrow, to join in the (assumed?) pre-KO remembrance.
And I'll be wearing my nice new shiny 2023 lapel poppy alongside a few older ones over the coming days... f*** em, I say!
    Lest we forget

I listened to it on Rams Daily, thought it was a really good interview. He was directly addressing Dom’s question, he also clarified outside noise is everywhere when you’re in elite sport. Agree with other posters who have said or implied those taking offence are those hearing what they want to hear to fit their viewpoint/agenda

I will go to my grave fighting for the right of those who choose to correct of differ from others opinions, I applaud you and your Son zigga for the miles and miles along with the money you spend following DCFC...I've been there like 10s of 1000s of others since 1966, It's a religion that can only be broken by excommunication or wearing a goat hair under garment for your sins.
Football can be like an irritating partner at times, Someone you wouldn't swap for all the tea in Tesco and one you'd lay your life down for, But at times you'll have a look at them and think...why do I bother 😁
Barker like yourself has the right to criticize those who criticize, PW said that he had an "atrocious Sunday" I would hazard a guess that there were some fans out there who also had an atrocious Sunday too, When DCFC lose and lose in the manner that I read it's a pain that only time can fix...the next match.
Enjoy the Stevenage game give DCFC players your best...but imo there's more important things in life to get worked up about 😉

Yes me and my Son too, not that it matters really as many follow home and away at great expense. Kind of what we do though and is always a choice to you and your Son..
I am not offended by this in the slightest. In fact he is bang on with his comments. If you wish to be offended that you are the outside noise then perhaps that is a reflection more on you than him.
Lets be honest, and as you know considering you were at Blackpool, fans singing PW your football is s**t at nil nil after 30 minutes is pathetic considering we went onto a great victory that night. A minority of fans sung this but still. 3 nil down fill your boots but at nil nil, jesus would have wept.
All Richie Barker did is publically state that they are getting the players focused and to ignore the negative outside noise, of which there is as we all know. This is good management. Keeping the players positive and focused is the only way we will win football games and get us out this league.
You can twist and turn words all you like to be offended in one way or another. Keep a level head and stay positive. It is amazing what togetherness can do.

The question was literally framed as "It's important not to get carried away with outside noise isn't it?" so Barker had every right to answer the question using the very same phrase.
Some people will just choose to take offence to anything if it fits with their preconceived narrative.

You should be grateful we care enough to have an opinion of your hopeless coaching ability, trying to play a style that was fit for the 80s.  Never take this club nor the supporters for granted whilst you leach off our backs getting very well paid for a substandard job

From the outset: I want Warne to succeed and do not want the merry-go-round of manager to take another trip.
I wasn't at the match on Saturday and listen to some of the commentary on Radio Derby. Eric Steele said that the second half was one of the best and most entertaining he had seen this season. The result was a bit of a disaster for a team (and its fans) hoping to make up some ground on the teams above. I get the fans at the ground were disappointed with the result but the behaviour and reaction at the end of the game was embarrassing (I know I didn't pay my money to go and watch it). The comments on this website were predictable with the anti-Warne posters making full use of this latest setback.
I watched the game on RamsTV this morning expecting to see a terrible performance of the so-called Warne Hoof Ball. With my rose-tinted glasses (some may say - I call it balanced and realistic) I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw. The first half wasn't great but neither was it a disaster. At times we passed the ball quite well, along the ground, until it came to the final important pass to create any opportunity. It then became more of a hope than an expectation. Our midfield (Fornah & Smith) struggled to get into the game , with Bird further upfield doing well. There was little backtracking from the players upfield to help the defence, who in fairness, despite a couple of scares coped quite well. Having seen the game I thought there might have been more criticism of the referee (who at the very least needs a visit to SpecSavers) who I thought had an horrendous game, much to Derby's disadvantage.
The second half was much better and we put together some very good moves and occasionally some defence splitting passes. All to no avail as our finishing was extremely poor again. But we should have scored at least a couple (if not 3). They too had the chance to score and missed 3 easy chances, as we pushed forward in search of an equaliser. From what I saw we deserved at least a point from the game. We were not outplayed, in my opinion, as many said on this forum. Having said that we could have lost 3 0r 4 nil as we abandoned defence at the end.
It was a very disappointing result but not a dreadful performance! Hoof-ball it was not - if you disagree I suggest you watch the game again in an objective way.

I understand the clamour for Warne's dismissal but I also think this is a sad situation. Had it not been for McGoldrick's goals last year, we would have been no where near the playoffs. Yet having lost last year's talisman, people expect automatic promotion this year. The Transfer Window during the summer, currently looks disappointing, in that we have not replaced Mc Goldrick. No one on this site knows what happened duding the window, in terms of how much money was available for transfers/wages, who we tried to sign, why they didn't sign for us (insufficient wages, transfer fee not enough etc etc etc. All I would guess is that it wasn't for lack of effort.
Pre-season matches went reasonably, apart form injuries to Barkheizan, Sibley and Elder, with Collins scoring a few from Joe Ward's Crosses which were a feature of these games. Bradley also played well with a colossal performance against Stoke. The defeat to Wigan was disappointing but we played well and but for 2 errors (Bradley & Wildsmith) we would have won against a better that expected Wigan side. Further injuries to Bird, Ward & Wilson added to our woes, followed by Thompson & Rooney.
At this same stage last year we had 20 points, as opposed to the 18 we have today. We lost our 13th match away at Ipswich, but then went an unbeaten run of 15 games. So hardly any difference, despite our home results being very poor.
The performances are not quite as bad as some people are making out. We are attempting to pass the ball and only "hoof" it out when under pressure, unless its a Cashin "world" ball, which hasn't been as good this year.
Things are not as bad as they seem, in my opinion. I, for one, am prepared to see where the next 6 weeks take us. We should virtually have a full squad (apart from Rooney and maybe Thompson) shortly, so there will be no excuses. What the fans cannot do is turn on the players, as they did on Saturday. They appear to lack a bit of confidence at the moment and need our help. If they are unfortunate to read this Forum then there is no hope for them.
I get Millenniumram, DanS1992, G Star Ram, Bald Eagles Barmy Army etc etc etc view that they want Warne sacked Now - but please give it a rest for a bit - we know your vies only too well. Let's all give the team (even if you can't give it Warne) our full support for the next 6 weeks and see where we are then.
David Clowes will make his own mind up what he wants to do, based on results and performances - not by Football Forums constantly trying to undermine the manager and now some of the players.

Exeter played some nice football at times and apparently played Wigan off the park on Saturday despite losing. So we’ll done Derby tonight.
To give a bit of balance on our “crisis”, we are now one point better off after 13 games, than we were last season. It was at this stage that we started our long unbeaten run of 15 games in the League. There’s still hope yet.

I've just read comments saying that we should demonstrate at the ground to get rid of Warne then the comments about Warne and the players being abused.
We're trying to attract staff to the club not drive them away can't think of many managers whom would welcome joining a club where our so called supporters could behave like that to them.

We need support not the type of toxic atmosphere we saw from “some” fans on Saturday. Although I’m pleased to say there were more fans applauding at the end than the other so called fans. We are there because we support the team. We have no Devine  right to beat “smaller teams” just because we are a bigger club. How long ago we nearly didn’t have A club to support. I realise the disappointment but what good comes of slagging the players. If they ain’t good enough that’s life…..but they do not go out to lose and they certainly don’t want to be in this league next season either. Let’s not forget we still have our hands tied on transfers, players do not have to come to DCFC, and if they think the place is toxic why would you sign if other teams make a similar offer with fans who support their teams in adversity, like we did in our 21 point season.

Anyone else still willing to give this time? Don’t seem to be many on the forum.
I don’t think we’ve been that bad (albeit I wasn’t there yesterday). Sounded like we had some good spells in the game though and we’ve had some brilliant performances (Peterborough, Blackpool)

Big squad turnover in the summer so willing to give it chance to come together. We’ve had some bad luck with injuries and decisions which will hopefully turn.

I think some of the anti-warne sentiment is the immediate anger of losing to so-called lesser clubs but, unfortunately, we were always going to lose games across a 46 game season so no need to panic
