I watched the Big Match Revisited today. The big game was Arsenal v Liverpool. They showed the teams coming out and I could name all of the players, from over 40 years ago (1979). If that game was played today I would struggle to name half of them. I was thinking about why that is ?. Maybe something to do with squad sizes, much bigger now. Perhaps I have lost a bit of interest due to it all being down to money now, the focus on the Champions League, the fact that the FA Cup has become devalued? Anyone else look back to the 70s with rose tinted spectacles and think football was better back then ?

It’s been 100 days since this wonderful raggle taggle group of youngsters, aging journeymen and free transfers lost a game of football. 
You can’t fail to be proud of how far Clowes, Warne and the players have bought this club so quickly,  after some of the darkest days in the clubs history. 
It’d be great to get to 101 days tomorrow and the magic number of 20 games unbeaten. We all know what happened last time we achieved that! 
It’s also 112 days since our last home defeat.

Was away over New Year... Missed Cambridge & Accy games
DIY'ing and couldn't be bothered with the cup game v Barnsley.  (Bad choice, in hindsight!)
Away again for my birthday weekend... Missed the Bolton game.
Last game for me was 17th Dec v FGR.  6 weeks (+ 2 days)! ?
If this is what a mid-winter break is like, then shove it!  Never been so desparate toget to a game, regardless of the opposition.
Don't care if my quiet little NE corner is stuffed with snide bubble-blowing geezers... It'll be great to be back... Loud, proud, and part of the crowd!

We won’t know how many West Ham fans will be in the North stand unless they score. They will then be on their feet and will be sitting ducks to anyone who takes offence.

They've only traveled a couple of miles, I've had to go a bit further. I know that when they do travel I they definitely won't be in the same state. Hopefully the pork pie does make it intact though.
