Whilst not wanting to over react the results have papered over a lack of style/pattern of play/tactical vision.

I watch how Plymouth and Barnsley played, how Ipswich played. It was so so clear what their managers are trying to do there. The players know what to do with the ball. There are patterns to the play and they’ve shown you can play good progressive football and be successful in this division.

I don’t mind Warne but it feels to me like when it’s a really good passage of play with movement and one touch passing it’s in spite of him and his coaching staff who just want the channels ran for 90 minutes, direct football and winning second balls.

Maybe when we were going round the World sticking our flag up in other peoples countries and teaching them English, we should have taught them French instead - if only we knew!! ?

The referee was fine. I think with a couple of exceptions the refereeing standard has been OK. We are not going to have the best referees down in the third division. It will be a mix of experienced referees who just fall a bit short for the two leagues above, or those with less experience but working their way up like  the excellent Rebecca Walsh.

Missed the commentary a little, but I thought that highlights package on MOTD was all the better for the lack of guff from Lineker, Shearer, Murphy and Co.

I disagree. I block people (regardless who they are) because their tweets aren’t interesting or they are annoying. Lineker comes into the latter category.

Sack him, sack Wright, sack Shearer, sack any others in football focus etc. programmes who refuse to work. The programmes need refreshing anyway. The BBC cannot and should not back down in this. He thinks he is untouchable, time to cancel his contract.

We have enough coaches at the games to see what is happening and make the necessary adjustments, that is part of their job and one they have failed on a few times since their arrival.

I see we lost 3-0 to the dirties but I suppose it's not the worst result possible. It's been a tough old year or two for the young uns and it'll be interesting to see what the long-term effects are; it'll make men of some of them, I guess, but I can see it having the opposite effect on a few too.
It's a sad irony that the thing that Morris seemed to treasure most, the academy and the promise thereof, has been the longest-term victim of his idiocy. I've come to realise that I'm not too fussed about what league we're in, but one of the compelling reasons for making it back to the Championship would be the re-build of the youth teams and the ability to hang onto those showing promise a little longer than of late. Must have been a bitter pill for the coaches who had us punching way above our weight prior to the Mad Mel.

The manager does seem to get outsmarted on a few occasions by some other managers. Certainly the case in the last two games.

Obviously there was nowt wrong with the starting XI in the 1st half. 1-0 up at HT and might have been more. They changed personnel and how they played 2nd half. We failed to react to that change. Not the first time that's happened.

Could do with another forward but otherwise, I think it's more wrong sub at wrong times. Liam Thompson and Jake Rooney could have both done a job in this game

OK, lets apply some context to that particular stat.
The reality is Derby are flat track bullies under Warne - we fill our boots against the minnows of this division by utilising quality players that 20 other clubs in this division could only dream of fielding but when we play anyone in the top half, our record is particularly poor. Remember we're not talking exclusively top 6 sides with these massive squads that you seem to believe Warne is bravely competing against but also includes the llkes of Lincoln, Exeter & Shrewsbury, all non-league sides in recent memory.
    The situation after 25 league games under Warne is as follows;

Even if you accept that you're more likely to get better results against lesser sides than better sides, that is a staggering mismatch & highlights that Warne's record is embellished by the paucity of opposition he has faced as manager. It also does not bode well for the playoffs, should we make them.
The record against top half sides suggests that Warne is struggling to engineer results against better organised & well resourced teams - this is where tactical nous & proper use of his squad is essential. There is much discussion about the squad but the reality is Curtis Davies, Sibley (in his right position), Liam Thompson, Jake Rooney (until yesterday) & Tony Springett are not being used to any extent at all - this makes no sense given the style of play & energy levels needed to employ that style. I don't accept these players are a significant step down in quality from the first XI.
Warne has a very functional & predictable style of play where he is heavily reliant on the individual parts of his team rather than the sum being greater than the parts - that is going to come unstuck against better teams & is borne out by both the results so far this season & his record with Rotherham in the Championship. To return to your quote, that is why some of us have significant reservations about him.

There are loads of crap male refs and will prob be same for female refs the more they come into the game. Does not matter what gender you are as long as you are good.

The Ref 9 probably the best this season, refereed sensibly and I hope she is not denied progress because she is female.

Not sure judging stuff on the country of origin, or whether it is well received by Joe Public makes a deal of sense. British TV, same as any country, offers good and bad output. Refusing to watch anything because of the country of origin is as closed-minded as refusing to watch anything with subtitles. I concede it's all about opinions, though I'm not sure how folk can form an opinion (or why they'd offer one) on shows they've never watched.

It isn’t funny, it’s so so weird and I’m pretty sure the players don’t find it amusing either.
