No idea why so many people are constantly miserable about England. It must be something in the national psyche.
Regardless, this thread will be better off if people who don't give a toss about the national team keep those thoughts to themselves.

No offence… but doesn’t not being that engaged with an England team that’s repaired relations with the tabloids whilst coming off a World Cup Semi-final and Euros final in 2/3 tournaments say more about you?

For the remainder of the season we must try to pass the ball to our own team. This nonsense of pumping the ball down the line to the waiting opposition is painful to watch and probably painful to play. Very frustrating.

Well to be fair last week shouldn’t have gone to your heads because you were largely outplayed. If anything it should have been at best a point but fair enough you got the winner whilst Wanderers missed their chances. That should have sent warning signals to the players not celebrations. At this time of the season you can only expect the unexpected, just like today. There’s a lot of ups and downs to go yet as nerves start to kick in but certainly today’s unexpected defeat opens the door to second spot again. It’s going to be a very interesting month now and that 4 point cushion isn’t anything like the 7 it could have been but you still do have a cushion and it’s still in your own hands so the players just have to keep their nerve and deliver.

Yes it is. I know we have got injuries, but there again, don't all of Warne's sides? The reality is that from kick off all he got us doing was hoofing the ball long. If we put 2 or 3 passes together, it was to generate enough room for the player getting that 3rd pass to boot it long from deep within his own half. Every time. Every time. Every single time.
How strange - after the fans gave Warne a right bollocking form that run of matches ending with Stevenage and Crewe he got us playing what almost looked like football, and guess what? We went on a good run. Today, when we could, and should have won emphatically, he reverted to hoofball. Absolutely diabolical. Yes, the ref was poor, really poor, and cost us the goal. Actually, no he didn't, but Northampton should have been defending a free-kick instead of scoring the winner. But our defending was shocking for the goal. But for virtually the entire match we were worse than the ref, and with EFL League One refs, that takes one hell of a lot of doing.

This is what pisses me off, We know players aren't machines and produce top performances game after game, But if the majority "don't turn up" you're up sh!t creek without a paddle.
Northampton have conceded 60 goals let that sink in for a second...and we couldn't stick one in the net, I believe there was enough out there from the starting 11 to get at least a point today.
Not good enough from all who were involved today, A big attitude change needed on Friday or it's the play offs...and in them I'm not confident 😬

Does it have to be a choice?  For me it is both art and vandalism.  The thing about art is that it's left to opinion, saying this is art but that isn't is missing the point of art.  If one feels that something is art, then for that person it is art, if enough people consider some work art, then it is popular art.  It is the effect that is the art.

Until last night I thought him a defensive barndoor but he’s clearly on a wavelength with Dwight and so also a rangey passer with 2 exquisite passes to set up goal-scoring openings. Would definitely cut it at Championship level and hope he comes permanently for next season. He clearly loves it here and that counts for a lot. Get him signed.

Blokes abusing the Bristol Rovers fans, chanting paedophile at them, picking on young kids, then crawling across the netting to get at them when WE scored our second.
They were 7 or 8 stood in about 5 places, meaning the people behind them had to move as they couldn't see a thing.
At no point were these blokes watching the game. They were facing the opposition fans. They were just there looking for trouble.
I'm sorry but I sing all game, didn't grumble when the spillover fans fell on to me, but personal abuse like that is just too much.

I expected something better than 6 Israeli officers have received training in Britain (probably at Sandhurst). The British military train officers from all over the World; it is normal for allies and considered as some of the best training available.

It's anonymous here so that can make it easier. It doesn't have to make sense or be justified. You're not going to be judged or (the worst bit) have people run away because they suddenly see you as bit of a drag.
So I'd say just use this space as a dumping ground for those thoughts that rattle around your head doing damage. People often can relate. Might even help someone reading.

I will renew, because I know that Warne et al will not be here forever.
There should be excitement about going to the matches, we are second in the table FFS. For me though, there is no more excitement than going to a mid table match with nothing to play for and that is purely down to the football we are playing. I will leave it until the last day to renew though.
