    ?
And what's with cyclists that now often have LED lights that flash on and off, usually poorly adjusted and which are just as blinding, distracting and dangerous as car headlights

Both me and young Ilkley have our own copies and I'm up to page 100 after a couple of days. It's an excellent read in the main
The bit that I've just gone through is the Lionel/3 amigos changeover and the John Gregory/George Burley period.  I had put most of it happily to the back of my mind.  Hope to God that we're not embarking on a similar period in our history, though learning that Mel has been in negotiation since May you do wonder whether Cocu was promised money and players which haven't been delivered.
One question @HuddersRam - George Burley was apparently not willing to talk about the relationship with Murdo Mackay as Director of Football and also about the allegations that were made about him around the time he left yet he appears still to be angry/upset about them. It seems odd to me that 15 years later he wouldn't discuss those things unless there were legal restrictions preventing him doing so or whether he didn't just want to rake up the past. Without breaking any confidences can you tell us why that was?

Thanks Ilkley! I'd like to think we could never go through a period like that again but who knows with Derby County to be honest. Looking back, if it wasn't for the fanbase, things would have got very dark.
Yeah George was a bit of a spiky character. In the end I only got around 20 minutes with him and he was pretty quick to shut down any chat on Murdo and the situation there unfortunately. I pursued again with a text but he made it pretty clear there was no chance I'd get anything from him on it. But to be quite honest, there were lots of people from over the years who didn't want to drag over old things. Burley, Gregory, Jeremy Keith. None of them wanted to go over much and of the three, it was only Burley who was happy to pick up the phone.
Don't think there were legal restrictions, just don't think he fancied going over unhappy memories. I think for the most part, the people who couldn't speak because of legal restrictions were quite open in saying it.

I’ve mentioned it before but it really annoys me when people say that fairly recent thing of saying “so” in response to a question. What brought it to mind was a contestant on The Chase. When asked what he did for a living he said  “ So, I’m a history student”. And what are your hobbies? “So, I like football and hang gliding”. And if you won the money what would you do with it? “So, I’d go round the world”.       Grrrrrrrr

So that you can prove that you have done exactly, to the letter, what she "asked" you to do! Only then to be told that you just don't understand women and she didn't mean it literally!

On the BBC website today there is a survey that suggests that 43% of disabled fans feel that their mental health has been affected by the lack of live sport to watch during lockdown.
I’m not disabled but I empathise with that view, much more than I would have anticipated pre-Covid, and whilst I still think that all leagues should have cancelled themselves with no champions, promotion or relegation, I am really looking forward to next Saturday on RamsTV.
And to RamsTV, @OwenB87 and all (including the players) may I say a big thank you for all your efforts in keeping us going in the meantime?  Some of the stuff you have produced has been nothing short of excellent and some reputations have been enhanced - if Liam Rosenior doesn’t go on to have a fantastic career then there is no justice, if Curtis doesn’t end up in the media somewhere then the media is blind and I hope that Waggy’s son continues to keep his cheeky outlook on life (probably inherited from his dad); it was good to see some of Fozzy’s home life, great to see old matches and old legends as well as legends of the future, and even to recall players long since forgotten.
I still think opportunities have been missed.  Hearing more often from Stephen Pearce for example or from our captain (before the return to training) would have been good.  I’m sure that Wayne secretly enjoyed lockdown and the absence of media intrusion into his life but he’s still found time to ‘write’ a Sunday Times article every week, and he’s had some interesting things to say. Maybe there was room to do more with the Academy and what they are doing to plan for next season or to hear from those behind the scenes like the groundsmen who have clearly been very busy, more about the food bank or even to hear an expansion of the planning that Liam Rosenior referred to about Max Bird’s return to the first team post Scunthorpe.
It feels to me that RamsTV has a really important part to play in the development of the club and its relationship with fans which, given the events of the last few months, needs to be continually nourished and nurtured.  PR outlets of all organisations, including football clubs, run the significant risk of becoming anodyne if all they do is spout a party line.  There’s a difficult balance between independent journalism and propaganda for in-house media. It will be great to see how RamsTV develops in the future and whether it can create for itself an even more interesting edge.
