NottsRam77 reacted to Miggins in Barnsley (H) (FACR3) Sun 8th Jan, 12:30 KO
On Radio Derby... Paul Warne says that the team is eager to take on information. He's getting through to them and getting a big response. The players are buying into it. All players helping each other.
Something is definitely working .

NottsRam77 got a reaction from Tamworthram in Your Personal World Cup Final
Im genuinely intrigued to know how plymouth fans could wind up a derby fan
theyve got absolutely nothing on us?
I know its totally different when u love amongst another set of fans but my mate at uni was a big plymouth fan i went to plenty with him.
hence a bit of soft spot for them

NottsRam77 got a reaction from Colm in Graeme Shinnie
This is going to be hugely unpopular and break a few hearts… but
maybe as a now 31 yo ball winner even wigan have better options
lets move on and look ahead instead of trying to revisit the past.
shinnie was fine for us, some great performances some so so.
hes 31 theres younger, fitter and hungrier players of his type around the football pyramid we could get

I agree. People who want him back are looking at it from a sentimentality point of view. We don't need to go back to Shinnie. A good pro no doubt but we have other options and we need to move forwards. He wouldn't get a game here either. I just would have thought he would be able to get a game in that struggling Wigan team.

Sign a Right Back, move Smith back into midfield, close thread.

Would be a very minor upgrade on Thompson as back up for Bird in my view. If we were to sign him, it would strike me as very opportunistic and lacking a great deal of thought behind it. Signing a player because he’s one of the few we can get under our embargo, rather than actually being something we need.

NottsRam77 reacted to Ellafella in Derby County Vs Cambridge Utd: Ratings
1Wildsmith 7 On to his 3rd Cuban cigar in as many games.
12Smith 7 Comfortable evening & we can see impact of Warne’s coaching as he is adding goal-shooting and attacking intent to his game. Lovely ball to NML to assist the goal.
3Forsyth 8 Fully established seasoned professional. Reads the game well and looks like a thoroughbred centre half. Flawless display.
6Cashin 8 Solid as a safe door. Boundless energy & decisive defending of a high calibre.
17Sibley 7 Rugged & strong. Can he add his attacking ability to his new defensive role a la Steve Buckley?
4Hourihane 7 kept the ball moving but needs to inject tempo when there’s a collective inertia
38Knighy 7.5 Brings added tempo from the bench - which impacts the game but can we afford him not to start?
8Bird 7.5 Metronomic reliability of toil, tackles & simple passes
11Mendez-Laing 8.0 Great chase to keep the ball in & a wonderful cross to Dobbin for the goal
10McGoldrick 7 Added lubrication up front that kept the forward parts moving nicely.
33Davies 6 A 5 minute leg-stretch
18Dobbin 8.0 MOTM Pace & threat out wide ; nicely taken header. Pleased for him.
Barkhuizen 6.5 Brought added energy.
9Collins 6 Does he read the game well enough? There were quite a few tasty morsels to be had last night but always in not quite the right spot. Needs a goal fillip soon.
Legs are collectively tired explaining the slow tempo first half. Cranked it up enough to grind out the 3 points against a competently stubborn opposition. Warne et al will be very satisfied with their first 20 games - they’re building a competent & well-drilled side. Can we find a bit of magic to give us more goals? Maybe more game time for Osula in 2023?

Two things to take from that
joe wildsmith is an absolute breath of fresh air compared to the goalkeeping heart attack that was kelle roos, im literally never worried when the balls start being fired in his way which is the biggest compliment i can pay him.
other thing, i know we probably cant but would love to get that young ginger bearded lad off them, looked a v good player
