England vs Holland will be a decent tie.

Southgate probably can’t believe his luck avoiding Germany, Spain, Portugal, France and Belgium.

Italy are weak, and Holland probably just about make up the top 10 in the world.

Another huge chance.

A huge chance against a top 10 side in the knockout stages of a tournament on foreign soil? Something we've never done in your lifetime...

Wish you'd make your mind up son! 😋

Of course it’s a huge chance. Look at the teams on the other side of the draw.

Italy and Holland both came into the tournament at over 16/1.

England, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and France were all more favoured.

Amazing how we have avoided all the other 5 for the second Euros running.

It was tongue in cheek mate. The tongue in cheek emoji was the tiny clue.

As for bookie odds, what price were Greece and Denmark?

Also, Portugal... 🫢

Bookies odds are not a reflection of how good a team are, it's a reflection of where they expect the money to go.

England are always underpriced due to fans betting with their hearts rather than their heads.

I don’t know, but Greece deserve plenty of credit as they faced Portugal, Spain and France on the way to victory.

I was too young to know much about Denmark’s victory.

Where does Georgia’s win put Holland now? This 3rd place system is rubbish.

People bet on who they believe are the favourites. It goes hand in hand.

Well played Georgia

Listened to it on t'wireless.

Sounds like the ref had zero truck with Portugal's histrionics. Booked one of their players for simulation as he 'left his leg in waiting for the touch'. 👏🏻

If only more refs could see this 'tactic' as the pisstake it is?

Nah. Loads of people in this county have a little flutter on England, as well as putting flags on their houses and cars. Just because. The bookies odds reflect the weight of money on England.  The burgers of eg Slovakia don’t have the same amount of cash and nor are they bombarded with sports betting ads and nor do they have access to the platforms.   It’s not a pure process

Two rules I use for betting. Never bet on Derby or England.  They are both guaranteed to let you down.
