Actually, looking at Lincoln’s form I can see them Being the team that rides a wave of momentum and sneaks into 6th place and takes the play offs by storm. Hopefully not relevant to this thread, cos we won’t need to worry about the play offs.

What a great Saturday:

  • Blackpool 0 Portsmouth 0
  • Exeter 2 Bolton 2
  • Bristol Rovers 0 RAMS 3
  • Barnsley 1 Lincoln 5
  • Burton 1 Peterborough 3

With nine games to go, we have moved into our best league position of the season - for the very first time we are second on points per game. Objectively second.image.thumb.png.ca7f1245b83095e4a2f6d468266c5aa1.png

There are going to be a fair few twists and turns between now and the end, but I'd rather be in our position than the three below us. Plus our excellent goal difference had another boost. Come on you Rams!

Yes but I’m sure someone 😉 will be able to “prove” we don’t “deserve” to be second.

Was this the chapter he wrote at base camp 3 while having a kick about with the Sherpas 🥶

Tonight's interesting fixtures (aside from our own, obviously)

Carlisle vs Barnsley
Lincoln
vs Cambridge (my sneaky pick for 6th)
Northampton vs Blackpool
Portsmouth vs Burton (up the Brewers)
Shrewsbury vs Exeter
Bolton vs Oxford

No Stevenage or Peterborough

Peterborough v Stevenage tomorrow

I’m giving you a like just cos no one liked my post about Lincoln sneaking into 6th.

Tuesday 12th March:

  • Portsmouth 2 Burton 1
  • RAMS 2 Reading 1
  • Bolton 5 Oxford 0
  • Carlisle 2 Barnsley 3

Everybody won, which we have to expect most weeks in this league. Leaving the picture as:

Clearly a four-horse race for second. Saturday has become a "must not lose" game. A win would be a massive stride towards the automatics.

A draw here would be nice. Wouldn't be opposed to a Stevenage win, either.

Stevenage win all day long please. Even if they win this and their other game in hand they'd still be 8 points behind us.

Lincoln’s recent form is really quite extraordinary - they’re not just winning - they’re winning with ease.  It’s a shame they don’t have games against Barnsley, Bolton or Posh - but their end of season clash with Pompey could be really interesting.
