How did Rosenoir manage to bring in quality players on a similar budget but Warne is having trouble. Maybe it might not be about the money but wanting to play for the right manager

You've posted virtually the exact same comments on a separate thread on a different forum board so obviously you feel your views require wider exposure.

Have it on good authority that the 2 main targets are Dobra and CBT, but finances are difficult so unless some leave (Smith,Sibley etc) we aren’t getting them, and then it’ll be youngsters on loan and more than likely nearer the end of the window we see movement. Sorry to be a downer

But you said a week or so ago that it's going to be a busy exciting window, things are changing quicker than Sam Smith.

Yes you’re right, I thought this forum would be more appropriate

Rosenior brought in over the hill players on more money than most in this league. They’re all still here chewing up more wage budget than their production is worth.

Chesterfield are playing tonight against decent opposition - be interesting to see if Dobra is involved. Looks a good player.

Heard it second or third hand that he is a complete twonk ......no idea if true.

Big step up though - as we saw with Tschimanga who was scoring 3 in 4 for Chezzy and hasn't scored a single goal since moving to league 1.

Dobra is on the bench tonight, although I wouldn't read too much into it as Cook often rotates his squad and the lineup is usually unpredictable.

To be fair to Tshimanga he suffered an horrific injury and has never been the same since, he's barely played since leaving Chesterfield. A more cautionary tale would be Andrew Dallas who some were suggesting on here as a potential signing in the last window. He went to Barnsley who then shipped him out to Kilmarnock after 4 games and now he can't get a game. Having said that, I think Dobra would be a good signing, he's a very good player, winds up the opposition and has a spark about him that's missing in some of our players

Yes, that's an interesting thought. Neither Hourihane nor (was it?) Collins wanted to sign for him did they? I guess if a player looked at the way we set up then there might be limited roles to chose from?

Like NML? Or Didzy if he'd have stayed? Or Bradley, oh no that's a Warne splurge!

Personally think we could do with 4 new players....

Fast winger - CBT

Centre Mid - Arblaster

Attacking Mid - ???

Striker - ???

A fast winger to help NML is obvious.

Arblaster would effectively replace the Embleton loan, maybe Smith out too? I can see Sibley going this month (if TJJ stays), so an attacking mid replacement. I see Dobra has been mentioned but whether it is him remains to be seen.

Then we need a forward with physicality & pace - Mubama would have been ideal but doubt that is possible now. Dont think Smith is the type of forward we currently need.

Some people pretend that Rosenior’s (or Rooney’s) signings for us were all excellent when it suits the chance to put the boot into Warne. Yet on the flip side will or have complained about Hourihane, Barkhuizen, Smith, Dobbin, Collins etc.

Leaving out the re-signed Derby players like Cash and Curtis Davies, Rosenior signed;

Hourihane

Mendez-Laing

Barkhuizen

Oduroh

Anang

McGoldrick

Chester

Smith

Collins

Wildsmith

Dobbin

Osula

Rooney

Roberts.

They weren’t all massive success stories, in the same way Warne’s signings haven’t all been failures. Some signings are good and work out, others don’t🤷🏻‍♂️
