What's the point of putting someone like Coldplay on our wish list when we know that Chris doesn't meet PWs requirements for all the things he wants a striker to do?

Plus he clearly doesn't want to leave Bristol (the place) as he waited around so long after his release from City to sign for Rovers.

The sooner CM retires the better.

Would've been happy to have signed him over Waggy or Wash in the summer but alas we didn't and with Collo pulling his weight, signing another 30 odd year old doesn't make much sense now.

There’s a striker in league one banging them in - very experienced at a much higher level

has taken part in 16 league games and has 8 league goals this season

Doesn’t run around a lot but doesn’t need to it seems

would probably have got us promoted last season if we had taken him on to help McGoldrick

yep he’s still good enough and out of contract in a couple of weeks - Chris Martin

yet we don’t need him short term, what use would a goal every 2nd game be?

There's a striker in league one banging them in - very experienced at a much higher level

has started 17 league games and has 10 league goals this season

according to some 'fans' is one of the worst strikers we've had at the club,

scored 12 goals last season to assist with McGoldrick

yep he's still good enough, not out of contract in a couple of weeks, and yes we already have him - James Collins

Pw "“It’s evident we need one or two players to help us over the line but there are no guarantees. Everybody is trying actively to reinforce it but I’ve said loads of times that the best teams who went up last year, didn’t lose anyone and improved. We didn’t improve. We kept the same group and they just fatigued by the end. We have an older team than a lot of others but we need fresh blood I think.”

How important is the January window to Derby County’s chances?

This time last year, Derby County sat in the same position in League One – in fourth place. Just like this season, they also sat three points from seventh.

The Rams went onto make three loan signings in the January window – Tottenham’s Harvey White, Forest Green Rovers’ Luke McGee and Norwich City’s Tony Springett.

While the clubs around them improved, Derby didn’t, and instead they begun dropping points to the likes of Fleetwood Town, Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers, before they eventually finished one point outside the play-offs.

Derby County would be stupid to make the same mistake again and really ought to provide Paul Warne with the tools he needs to make this a solid second half to the campaign, because otherwise we will be back here starting all over again in eight months time.

But without Cashin & Bird!

From the teams spending money above us, destined for promotion for Peterbrough and Portsmouth.

is edwards £6m better than cash,or do boro board have a harder negotiating method than the rams?we always seem to let our talent go for peanuts

I assume, that's partly because of those players being either too old or towards the end of their contracts
