We have just been 'analysed' by sky. Honestly Jon Snow from game of thrones knows more than these so called experts.

Apparently, the pressure is on Derby, former Championship team, bigger team than Peterborough, expectation was promotion and dominating this league. Warne in danger if we dont go up. 10 managers in 7 years blah blah blah.

No realisation about where actually were last summer. Funny they talked up Plymouth referring to budgets compared to the Wendies and Ipswich, but not to us.

To me whatever happens we have done so well to get this far, and those numpties at Sky have no idea.

Pundits on Sky know naff all outside of the Premier League nowadays... I don't think anyone expected automatics, a play off place at best, and we have a good chance of a playoff place. COYR 🐑

That analysis being based on "we've heard of connor houlirahan and mcgoldricks so err must've been autos or bust"

in stark contrast to our last final day game against the Wendies, I'm surprisingly not nervous about this one at all today. If we get into the playoffs, that's great, but if not we'll have another tilt at this division next year. Whilst you never say no to a promotion, I do wonder if staying another season down here may give us better foundations in the second division once we're finally free from the efl restrictions.

Tend to agree with you. Getting into the Play offs would be great, but stressful. Let’s go for it anyway

To be fair the pundits on the actual game have just said that if we got promoted it would be a big achievement ahead of schedule due to what the club has been through

4pm , jeez how much injury time are you expecting.

I can't believe they've brought the kick off time 2hrs forward at such late notice!

Hope you all got there in time.

Don't wanna dwell on the second half of that post, but agree with the first half.

Casting our minds back to last summer... and even the opening day of the season, I've always envisaged this day... and this situation... as a full on, 100% bonus.

It is what it is, and I'm chilled with that.

Bring it on...

I was all for that view until I heard Warne playing down our chances next season if we don't get up this year! 🤣

"There's no guarantee we'll be better next season"

I mean he's not wrong but it hardly inspired confidence! We're paying you to ensure we are, Paul.

(unless it wasn't Warne, just heard a small snippet on RD)

Really clueless. Do you get more of their dirge with their new deal next season or will they get pundits in place who have a modicum of knowledge. Curtis would be good.

I'd have confidence in the team as it is staying up in the Championship... with a couple PW additions to suit his style better I think we could be lower mid-table (which I'd be more than happy with). The quicker we get out of this league, the better... don't want to become another Sunderland and have to spend 4 years here!
