The greatest pre-night-out song ever recorded on the greatest pre-night-out album ever recorded.

Just one of the best albums out there IMO. It's almost timeless, but that one line gives its age away instantly. It's old enough to have had its first (legal) pint, and that hurts me.

As we seem to have honed in on songs that are dated because they come from an age where it was apparently perfectly OK to lust after school girls, I give you Christine Sixteen by Kiss

She's got me dizzy
She sees me through to the end
She's got me in her hands
And there's no use in pretending

Christine, sixteen
Christine, sixteen

I don't usually say things
Like this to girls your age
But when I saw you coming
Out of the school that day
That day I knew, I knew I've got to have you
I've got to have you

Late December he'd still be on holidays if a pupil?

I reckon he was the creepy school caretaker.

Rod Stewart was an ambition before it became a stage name.

It's like it wasn't possible to be Down In The Tube Station At Midnight in 1978, last tube was 11pm.

And wine doesn't go flat (at least ones where you pull out the cork) and how do they know where you live? Also, who polishes the glasses to eat a curry at past midnight. All very strange. Maybe he was from a Strange Town?

I glanced back on my life
And thought about my wife
Cause they took the keys - and she'll think it's me
And I'm down in the tube station at midnight
The wine will be flat and the curry's gone cold
