Wildsmith   6 - typical performance - decent shot stopping, dodgy kicking/high balls.

Knight   4 - with the transfer window closing he was utter tripe (for @Ellafella eyes only 8 MotM ?)

Roberts   5 - off his game today, rightly subbed at H/T.

Cashin   7 - kept a lively P'Boro attack pretty quiet.

Stearman   7 - another calm and mature performance as expected.

Bird   5 - didn't really notice him today, faded 2nd half. Subbed.

Hourihane   6 - did simple stuff well but lacked any impact.

Dobbin   7 - energetic but not really effective.  Nailed on 6 until match winning contribution at the end.

Collins   5 - ran around a lot but fairly anonymous at times. Subbed.

Sibley   7 - good performance, got into good positions and made himself available.  Unlucky not to score.

Barkhuizen   7 - lively today, looked up for it at times.

SUBS:

Forsyth   7 - excellent when he came on, got forwards more after P'Boro reduced to 10 men.

Smith   7 - Subbed on for Bird, kept the ball moving, didn't do a lot wrong.

McGoldrick   7 - you want your subs to make an impact, injury time winner is certainly that!

Disappointing performance for 85 mins as @David will tell you ? but for those that stayed until the final whistle the last few minutes made all the difference.  So 6 games in and we're 6th, 3pts from top without hitting top gear.  Another couple of goals on our travels and we could have been top.

We're playing good football at times, in front of big crowds.  If Premier League teams are looking to send out their young stars to get experience at a team that should be challenging come May they could do a lot worse than send them our way.  We're a couple of decent signings away from having a very good season.

A very good assessment.  We are starting to see trends. Will Rosey change his mindset?
- McGoldrick should now be a starter

- Play Knighty midfield {ffs!}
- Fozzy pushing for a start

- Collins needs a rest- it’s just not working for him. Time-out required.
-sort out this ridiculously poor decision-making on the play-out from the back; lucky that Marriot didn’t gobble that open-goal.

We are not yet firing on 4 cylinders but it’s quite clear what needs a tweak.

Yeah I'd agree with all of that other than listening to LR after the match talking about Knight not being played out of position and tbh, its starting to grow on me him being there.

Hes done nothing wrong defensively and regularly gets forward into dangerous positions.  If you put him in midfield you'd have to drop someone else out, so on balance I think hes in his best position for the team atm - and could grow into a very good right back.

Despite giving fans regular heart attacks playing out from the back (someone is gonna capitalize and score 2-3 in a match against us one day) we've got the best defence in the league, a couple of attack minded players before the transfer window shuts to give us more of a goal threat and we might be playing Notts Forest again next season ?

Wildsmith 6 solid apart from a nice pass to Marriott

Knight 8 great goal and MOM - but needed in midfield

Forsyth 7 made a difference, gave us an outball

Roberts 6 did nothing wrong

Korey Smith 6.5 made an impact, helped with retaining possession

 Cashin 7 another good game

Stearman 7 see Cash

Dobbin 6.5 rabbit in headlights 1st half, improved a little in 2nd. Xtra half for assist

McGoldrick 7 scored the winner, need i say more

Sibley 7 played the whole game! Did well.

Hourihane, 6 disappointing, needs to control games

Bird ? 6 see Hooli

Collins 5 badly needs a goal.

Barkhuizen 7.5 best game in a Derby shirt.

Peterborough with 11 men were better than us and would have won had they retained 11 for the whole game. The P’bro No 8, Taylor was bossing the game, certainly in the 1st half. The turning point was the sending off (kudos to Barks) despite them scoring when down to 10 men. As LR said in his post match, that was the worst we have played this season, possibly because they didn’t let us play.

Can’t agree with that. Think them going a man down and us switching off as a result got them their goal. Think we would have likely won the game still 11v11. Fair play to them for remaining attacking with 10 men to get the goal, just think their subs after that were a bit curious.

Not sure whether we switched off or they upped their game, in any event scoring with 10 men against the meanest defence in the league is some achievement. Until Knighty came up with an unstoppable header i really couldn’t see us scoring past their giant keeper.
