Look what happened when Morris tried it

Exactly!

To be fair to Tom, he's always had niggles but in previous seasons he has bounced back from them quickly. I think this is his first really prolonged spell on the sidelines. He'll be hating it, as will any player who wants to be out there.

Three year contract, apparently.

Fair enough angieram. Not much of an excuse but been up since 4 this morning on a 12 hour shift and just noticed on Sky Sports who Rangers had released and thought Lawrence might be let go because he has hardly done anything. Didn't realise he had been injured so long.

You don't need an excuse, it's easy to think he's not playing because he's not being picked. I think he was doing quite well before the injury - fans seem to like him.

Does anybody know what has happened to him, i know he went to Rangers, but seems to have disappeared

Apparently he played 13 minutes of a pre-season friendly in July, but has been either excluded or injured since then.

EDIT: also this - https://www.ibroxnews.com/2023/08/12/tom-lawrence-return-update-for-rangers-shared-by-injury-expert/

ok many thanks,  strange one ???

Bad knee injury, taking a long time to be properly ready... according to that article which reads like it's 100% not ITK! (Even the Derby Telegraph hasn't yet sunk to asking unconnected medical experts what could be going on behind the scenes!)

Has he gone playing golf in America with Kirchner days after the deal to buy the club that was paying him fell through threatening their existence, or was that just last years summer break.

Not here to defend Tom Lawrence but, in all fairness, did the (with hindsight very fortunate) breakdown of Kirchner's deal automatically mean that anyone who had anything to do with Derby should not have socialised with him? (Or am I missing your point?) I'm not sure any of our players could have been expected to know what kind of a businessman he was - allegedly.

It was a couple of days after the Will come out in the wash,  Nadals great,  Not happening scenario. Here's a picture of me and my buddy Chris at an exclusive golf complex in Texas  Really poor in my opinion.
