25 years ago, 7 match ban and warned about my future conduct, No "knob ed" 4th goal went in from Sunderland lost 0-5,  Lionel Pickering said on the day..."if Derby fans want to moan then go and watch Forest"

"no true fan would do it because they wouldn't want the ban that goes with it"

What's a true fan?

Andi Peters on the right there gripping you up Alf ! He`s having a wry smile at your pleas of mitigation ? Realistically , we`re all on the pitch after the Cardiff game , whatever the outcome,  but we need to stay off till then cos we ain`t got the money to pay the fines , fans have been awesome this season , just like Rooney and the players , proud to be a Ram , we`ll fight to the end , COYRs

Think you've struck upon an important caveat. End of the season, after the whistle, fans can and should flood onto the pitch in numbers.

I've always been a fan of an end-of-season pitch invasion. Usually it is to remind the people in the boardroom who really owns the club. In this case I think that point will be 20x more poignant.

During the season, no. During games, definitely no.

If Derby stay up

I'm on the pitch   (might take me a while mind, as I'll be sat in the SW upper)

I fear we may get ridiculed invading the pitch at season's end, with cries of "But you have won nothing"!

I didn't go on v Southampton... we'd won nothing... plus I was stuck at the very back of the SE Corner busting a lung trying (and eventually succeeding) getting the "Idiakez" chant going.
I didn't go on after Brighton... we'd won nothing... and I was in Spain anyway!  ?

In fact, I haven't been on the pitch for literally decades, and never at PPS.

But I say this now... IF we stay up... I will be on that pitch after the Cardiff game... and regardless of the snipes from elsewhere in the football fraternity, I would say we have very much won something!  One of the biggest victories in English football history!

Not all victories come with a trophy!  ?

Chears Hales, I was having a giggle with Andi Peters, Until Don Estelle got involved, Put a yellow jacket on some people and then all of a sudden they're 10 feet tall, He was told to back off and back off now with a few other choice Anglo Saxon words, Lucky for me a good friend was a Senior superviser on the players tunnel, He took over, Asked WTF am I doing, Told him how it was, Instead of him handing me over to the law he escorted me out.

He got a lot of grief for that, So phone calles and letters were sent to DCFC to explain the situation, They took what I said as true with me being a Vicars Son ?, And my mate was warned that another repeat would mean a relief of duties.

As for the Cardiff game, Enjoy and have a few beers after the game ?

Yeah I remember that cage. Unbelievable even for those days.

Thatcher had a big hand in all the Football hooligan stuff, She hated having to deploy more Police when they could be used to quell the Britsh public, I remember the Luton Town owner with his high fences at Kenilworth Rd, Ken Bates electrifying fences at Stamford Bridge, It doesn't matter what age or gender you were, Able bodied of not, Football supporters were seen as fare game by the establishment, Plenty of inocent fans ended up with criminal records for trumped up charges, A good mate when we played Sunderland when they had 6K fans as Jeremy Kieth thought it was a great idea to give them more tickets, Where fighting was all through the game he got a 3 year ban for being hit in the face, It took him 2 seasons to get the ban overturned and a lot of money defending himself.

SW corner is the place to be.

I sat there for 2 seasons, A great view of the games, But my that yomp up all those stairs gave me calves the size of Derbyshire

SW Upper is the place to be. All the joy of South Stand noise and with the snobbery of being a West Standite

Someone had the temerity to let off one of those smoke bombs at the last match and people were standing and making a right din, nearly knocked my flask over. I shall be writing to my local MP.

That was extremely close to me, I don't know if the stewards found the guy in the end

SW Upper is the best, good view, good laugh, sit down if you need to, stand up if you want to. Just wish they'd open more kiosks at half time

Agreed, I have been sat there for a few seasons now and there has generally been a very positive atmosphere, especially this season. Like to think we add a few decibels to the South Stand together with those in the East Stand opposite.

I really don't understand what the idiot who ran on the pitch tonight was thinking as we was searching for a equaliser and building momentum. He should be banned and never come back.

I assumed he was Millwall, seeing as that's where he ran off to, although he did seem to appear from the East Stand.

If he was Derby, they should have pushed him in with the Millwall fans.

Had the displeasure of meeting this fella - the real one - when I was about 10.  What an absolute **** *** he was.  That bad it's stayed with me to this day .

Maybe he was a Millwall fan who got a ticket in the Derby end? The only explanation I could think of.
