January transfer window

Chris Kirchner.

Literally no-one had this guys name. Then all of a sudden he appears yesterday as a viable option having put his money where his mouth is with the Administrators.

The press have been consistently garbage with all things Derby County in the last two years. They have been, remarkably, kept in the dark with only the EFL letting things slip to forward their own agenda.

Who knows who's going to be next to reveal themselves.

So if we get taken over before Xmas and debts are paid or serviced, what is it that can keep us under an embargo.

We need to clear this list:

It's possible that clearing some of them but not others would move us into a soft embargo rather than the current hard one, which would still allow us to make some signings due to different restrictions.

Surely the new owners would have to clear all debts, have proof of monies to run the club until the end of the season. If this is all met the EFL could not keep us on any kind of transfer embargo.

Steve Gibson would probably complain again, loves throwing his dolly out the pram.

HMRC & Admin are what puts us in the current embargo, sort them, which should happen at the same time really, will then move us tp a soft embargo. Not sure what will happen on the others as the administrators have said no accounts need to be submitted now we have gone into administration

Don't forget we've got to buy the Wycombe Cowboy a new horse and a rocking chair for his porch as compo.

Which is the biggest hurdle, G of C

Does anyone understand this whole matter.

Who can we sign and on what basis under a soft embargo then.

Admin will be solved first, which should in turn solve HMRC.

We've been in discussions with the EFL over the P&S issues, which I believe is the reason for the delay in submitting the accounts. Get that rumoured penalty resolved and the others points should go away too.

So say we get new owners and clear all the debt, what’s the max we can spend to put us close to FFP? We’ll need some investment in some players that are currently not overly well known but are having a good six months purple patch at their club. They’ll probably not come cheap mind

Having none presently, the ability to bring in six loans has to be a huge advantage, players not getting game time at their club, those that refuse to sign a new contract and will be leaving in the summer, and those needing first-team experience. That should cover all incomings without the need to pay a fee. Last season we had a pick of what was left, maybe this season we can get the cream?

If we get taken over, if the debts are cleared, if we look a bit more stable, if we have the chance to bring in players in Jan, if we are sensible in recruitment, we may be able to look at prem loans.

I would be looking at top 10 teams with big squads and players with little game time. Delap? Elanga? Loans till end of season (if we can get mates rates on any loan fees as at the start of the season fees were in the region of 1.5mill for a loan which is ludicrous)

Also look at champ sides who have had a new or newish manager and might have players who are not fancied by the new guy. I'm think sheff utd, fulham, west brom, Bournemouth. all have new managers, all have good squads, all have players not getting game time. We are not threat to their promotion aspirations so they might be tempted by a loan as we might hopefully take points off their rivals. Burke ex forest at sheff uts?

Under  soft embargo the minimum wages we can offer increases to 11.5k I believe - not sure if we can actually spend any transfer fee's. Also, the squad restrictions change where anyone u21 doesn't count towards the 24 players allowed meaning more space for incomings

I was a fan, but some weren't, I notice Patrick Roberts, on loan at Troye for the last year of his contract has only played once so far, maybe he might be interested in cutting that short in January and making a return? City's highly rated centre-half Philippe Sandler is also on loan there for the season, also not getting games and his contract is also up should the recruitment team read these pages.

So potentially back to normal before Xmas is a possibility

I would look for at least one Jags type signing but a natural striker.
