No particular order and feel free to include your own place of residence. For me: Birmingham Bristol Brighton Sheffield Nottingham (I'm aware that choice may upset some of you..) I would never have dreamed of it I don't think had I not worked over there. Its obviously not as touristy as Dublin but I find it far more laid back and cheaper. Lots of Irish bars with live music, good restaurants, plus take in some of the countryside. lots of interesting things to see relating to the troubles too. Having lived in Birmingham and Nottingham for s number of years can only say maybe familiarity breeds contempt as found both of them are poo holes. It was like a bit edgy living in Balsall Heath when you're a student but looking back it was an absolute cess pool. I lived in Selly Park after that which was slightly better. Nottingham is just horrid I can't think of any nice parts of the city that actually are within the city limits. Slab Square has got to be one of the biggest eyesores in the land. Don’t think living there would be for me though Nottingham was a great place to go to uni, have moved out to the West Bridgford area now so not technically the city but will still count it.
