Well we got rid of him to save money, and he’s injured. We’re now far worse off financially and we have enough players on the treatment table, so no. Spot on. The gravy train has come to the last stop. Same for most clubs. it’s gonna be a wake up call for some players probably having to take contracts well below expectation. Hated watching some of these over paid prima-donnas these last few years. The days of the likes of Hindmarch, Buckley, Sage, Williams etc. when they we’re putting themselves on the line and literally fighting for the club (in the goalmouth v Stoke). It seemed to mean more.
