IslandExile
I was going to do a thread with the title: "Rooney sacked" then as the first post put something like "Not going to happen". BUT, unlike @DarkFruitsRam7, I thought better of it than pulling that one. DarkFruitsRam7

hintonsboots
Eye watering wage bill for the productivity, talent and effort on show. Talk about Mel not getting much for his money. Anyone know the % of the 1.2 Mill that relates to player wages ? Coneheadjohn

Not so long ago wages were at £40m a season, if that figure is to believed it’s now around £14m. That’s why the squad is threadbare and devoid of any quality, it’s been completely stripped down. jimtastic56

If we hadn't overpaid players then we could have had quality players on a wage budget we could (nearly) afford, just like when Clough Jr/Mac were managers. Hard to belive it's that low, even when assuming the wages of those out on loan aren't included. Maybe it's excluding players on loan with us such as Clarke, Gregory,etc..? If true, it would surely put us in the bottom 6 for wage bill (Rotherham, Coventry, Wycombe, Luton, and maybe Preston)
