Eye watering wage bill for the productivity, talent and effort on show. Talk about Mel not getting much for his money.

Anyone know the % of the 1.2 Mill that relates to player wages ?

Not so long ago wages were at £40m a season, if that figure is to believed it’s now around £14m. That’s why the squad is threadbare and devoid of any quality, it’s been completely stripped down.

These two points don't necessarily follow. If we hadn't overpaid players then we could have had quality players on a wage budget we could (nearly) afford, just like when Clough Jr/Mac were managers.

Alonso “I’ll pay this months wages Mel, no problem”

He then fails to pay, we get immediate points deducted thus relegated. Alonso then gets the club cut price.........GIF by Identity

1.2 million a month!

Hard to belive it's that low, even when assuming the wages of those out on loan aren't included. Maybe it's excluding players on loan with us such as Clarke, Gregory,etc..?

If true, it would surely put us in the bottom 6 for wage bill (Rotherham, Coventry, Wycombe, Luton, and maybe Preston)

Have you even read that tweet? It clearly states Mel will be paying them.

I know we’ve been cost cutting but that would indicate we’ve cut our wage bill by 2/3 rds?
