Roos........ 5. No chance with the penalty; possibly unsighted with the 2nd but should've saved it. Could cost him his place. Good long kicking out. 

Byrne.......7. Another good game from this highly consistent player. Main outlet second half.

Wisdom...7. Started slowly and sloppily and at fault for the first goal. Recovered really well second half and looked a class above.

Clarke......7. Solid; sometimes guilty of slowing down things and regressing play. 

Buchanan.5 Gave away a soft penalty. Looked jaded first half and frightened. But much better second half and an attacking threat winning free-kicks and possession. 

Shinnie....9 MOTM They should bottle his pi55; I'd drink it. Drove Derby on when we were hanging by the fingers to the precipice of a third goal. Played like a possessed demon second half. 

Bird.........4. Pretty anonymous first half and subbed at HT. 

Jozwiak...5 Jossled about the pitch but to no great effect first half-Withdrawn at HT.

Knight.....8.. Great fight and a rasping drive that winded their keeper. 

Watson....Damp squib; played him in the wrong position, Square pegs and round holes Wazza! First rule of footy management. Withdrawn at HT.

CKR.......8 Another superb showing. Went off injured but fought like a Trojan.

Mengi....7 This guy deserves his place. He is very solid and shows grat attitude; a fighter and we need fighters.

Sibley.....8 Shone like the ghost of Will Hughes; superb goal; Drove at Brentford. Eat your words now Wazza...or was it man management?

Gregory...8 Made a clear difference up top. Slotted home and should've done better when racing through when we had an overlap  but showed great fight.

Roos - 5  Beaten at his near post for the second. Poor goalkeeping. 

Byrne - 7 First half struggled being outnumbered but second half massively better. 

Wisdom - 2 Partly at fault for two goals we conceded early. Struggled all game. The odd one or two tackles doesn’t make up for how poor he was......again. 

Clarke 7 - Best of the back line today. Trying to cover for his other defenders all the time. 

Buchanan - 4 Poor first half and not actually much better second half as a wing back. 

Shinnie - 8 MOTM  Covered for Bird in the first half and spent time rescuing Mengi second half. If he could pick out a pas more often he’d be top class. 

Bird - 3 Poor today. Out of position and gave away possession too much in the first half. 

Jozwiak - 6 Was our biggest threat in the first half. Unlucky to come off. 

Knight - 7 Poor first half and partly at fault for the first goal with his negative play but immense second half. Play him with Shinnie and let him run and close down, then tell him to look forward and pass it to someone else going forward. 

Watson - 5 Actually unfair to give him a rating when we played him in the ‘safe’ wide left position to ‘protect’ him. Stupid decision. 

CKR - 5 Poor first half and marginally better second half. When we had players around him helping he did come alive. 

Mengi - 3 Poor player. Gets caught under the ball and tried to rely on his pace. Got caught out of position all the time and was rescued by either Clarke or Shinnie most of the time. 

Sibley - 8 Best game for us all season. Brilliant goal. Forward thinking and running and pressure of their back line and showed what he can bring. So so happy for him. 

Gregory - 6 Scored and brought some needed help to the front line. Movement a handful but can’t play a ball over the top as he lacks pace and any left foot. 
 

Roberts - Great pass for Sibbo and again a good influence when he came on. 
 

Rooney - First half 1, Second half 8

Roos 5 - beaten at his near post for their second. Can't actually remember that many saves which surprises given how utterly dominant Brentford were first half

Byrne 6 - pretty weak effort to stop their lad coming inside to hit their second & generally looked all at sea positionally first half. Was good going forward though & cracking ball for Gregory's goal

Wisdom 4 - very poor. Lost possession in run up to the penalty, ball constantly went over his head & couple of instances of him diving in & missing the man. 

Clarke 6 - solid defensively which marks him out compared to the rest of our backliine

Buchanan 4 - very poor also. Conceded the penalty & was on toast most of the first half against Mbeumo. Second half, he had insurance to get up the pitch but constantly dithered when looking to get the ball into the box & quality was invariably awful when he did

Shinnie 6 - really struggled first half & couldn't get near their lightning quick movement. Much better second half with some great covering & decent little out balls

Bird 5 - worst game in a while & struggled with their intense press. Looked really static & needs to get mobile looking for pockets of space or offering angles for players to find him with an easy ball

Jozwiak 6 - didn't think he was that bad actually. Couple of decent crosses which made a nice change

Knight 6 - out of his depth first half & was basically just a charge down runner. Second half he got moved back to his natural position & played well. His hassling for the ball became effective & given the space that opened up, he was able to stride into midfield & get us up the pitch

Watson 5 - difficult circumstances to make your debut in an unfamiliar position whilst your team are getting run all over the park. He showed very little but got very little into his feet - looks much better centrally or with a freer role. Felt he could have pressed with more intensity

CKR 6 - like Knight, chased shadows first half. Thereafter he got some delivery into him which he held up well, started the move for Gregory's goal & a great ball over the top for Gregory's one on one chance

Mengi 5 - generally fine defensively but let his man go right at the end needing Shinnie to bail him out. Commentary reckon he's comfortable in possession - he looks terrified to pass the ball forward as far as I can tell

Sibley 8 MOM - obviously fantastic goal to grab us a point but he showed everyone what he can bring to the team that second half. Happy to get possession with men around him, drifted into pockets of space & looked to drive whenever possible. Big injection of urgency to the side

Gregory 7 - like Sibley, added real fight & directness to the side. Great little run to get on the end of Byrne's cross & got two other opportunities - a one on one he should have done a lot better with & a snatched effort from 6 yards blocked well by their full back.
