I'm confused though - as normally when you post a massive list of links, it's because you're saying (insert subject here) must be true?

You were sad because there weren't enough media articles about the anti-vaccine passport marches, but you now seem to be saying that if there had been 40+ articles in a week, that would mean it's just media hysteria?

I'm going back to bed

Yeah have a bit more kip then a cup of coffee ?

The list of media articles you posted re. anti-vaccine passport marches were mostly local media.  The BBC and Sky only managed one article apiece and they focussed on a dozen arrests at just one of the marches despite there being numerous marches in London and around the rest of the country attended by tens of thousands.

Meanwhile The Guardian alone managed over 40 articles about omicron in a single week.  They have already produced several more this morning and its not even 10am yet.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2021/dec/06/covid-news-live-omicron-found-in-one-third-of-us-states-germany-plans-vaccine-mandates-for-some-health-jobs

Also this article doesn't have omicron in the title but continues to shove the fear porn down our necks...

As fears grow over the threat posed by the highly mutated Omicron variant, detected in more than 30 countries, Prof Dame Sarah Gilbert cautioned that while it was increasingly obvious that “this pandemic is not done with us”, the next one could be worse.

Are you suggesting that a far higher proportion of the unvaccinated have bigger underlying health problems than those who are vaccinated? I can't think of any other reason why there would be a huge bias towards the unvaccinated being at greater risk of hospitalisation and being in intensive care apart from the obvious one (that vaccination means that, in all likelihood, your symptoms are going to be far milder than if you were not vaccinated).

No I'm not necessarily saying this, just posing questions. But there could be a bias in this sample. Maybe there is a trend for those unvaccinated in ICUs to not care about their health, take risks, drink, smoke etc.  They could be very different from other unvaccinated people who eat well and look after themselves and this may impact on the risk. So this needs to be investigated because we could have important interactions between factors that are otherwise obscured.

I still can't tell if you're saying its bad because they are covering it extensively - or good because they aren't refusing to report on it.

I don't know what fear porn is either - do i need a box of tissues?

More outright lies on TV.

Funny how social media 'fact checkers' only fact check certain facts.  When its the other way, Joe Public has to do it, although in this case the guy fact checking is highly qualified to do so. Interesting thread of tweets and blog from Jamie Jenkins.

Report it to ofcom and let them do their job - yet more hysteria being generated for no good reason than to rile people up and divide everyone

Natural selection. Those who adapt to their habitats thrive and those that don’t die off.

those people that ignore health advice will probably die sooner than those that listen to and follow health recommendations. As a general but not universal rule.

Sounds like out of date information, which was oddly specific when it was correct. As others have suggested, report it.

what about people like the Icke's who have monetised the other side of the divide and stoke it constantly, every day?

I'd like to think you consider them just as bad?

How has he pocketed and grown his bank balance since COVID started?

This isn’t a baited question by the way. I don’t know who he is and I’m curious as to how he has benefited.

Of course I do , why wouldn’t I think anybody cashing in on what’s supposed to be a catastrophic pandemic, would it be because I’m a conspiracy theorist and ant vaxer?

To be fair - Dr Hilary has been the morning TV "celebrity doctor" for years and years, and along he's been paid to be a doctor of opinions rather than a doctor of medecine

I actually knew that would be your answer and  I apologise for even asking.

I was mistaking here for Twitter again - where you see people ranting about "paid shills" and "Big Pharma profits" (which I don't disagree with a good rant about) - but then 10 seconds later are retweeting the Icke's and their ilk - seemingly oblivious to the fact that they are making a mint on the back of the pandemic too

Yes he’s been the celebrity doctor on there for years but sparse appearances, since COVID he’s like dog poo ( all over the shop) and always spouting the worst case scenario also speaking like an expert on fields that are far from his field of medicine, just like some on the other side but they are ridiculed, de platform ed and worse ?‍♂️
believe it or not I think both sides of the coin are just as bad as each other

if I used the words of celebrity gp to make a case on stuff above his pay grade it wouldn’t pass
