It seems to be the recruitment policy at Derby now. Probably because they're cheap. Get players in who haven't played in ages and aren't match fit. Ibe, Mendez Laing and now this guy. We've veered from one extreme of grossly overpaying for players who have had a 6 month purple patch to now paying nothing for players who are out of contract, have left clubs under various clouds or are not match fit.
